Triple Threat Athlete of the Week: Audrey Norville, St. Mary Catholic

The Triple Threat Athlete of the Week is an honor given on WisSports.net to the top senior boys and girls three-sport athletes in the state. Players are recognized each week on WSN, with a boys and girls winner of the Pat Richter Award at the end of the season to the best three-sport athlete of the year.

The Triple Threat Athlete of the Week is presented by the U.S. Marine Corps. The award recognizes student athletes who embody the spirit of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline across multiple sports. The mission of Marine Corps Recruiting Station Milwaukee is to find qualified men and women in Wisconsin and the surrounding area interested in becoming a United States Marine. Marines maintain the legacy of the Marine Corps by winning our nations battles and returning to their communities as quality citizens whether they are active duty or reservist. The coveted title of Marine applies only to those who graduate from the Recruit Depots or Officer Candidate School. RS Milwaukee will provide any qualified man or woman the opportunity to attend the training required to become a Marine - Enlisted or Officer.

Volleyball Honors: Two-year all-conference performer for the Zephyrs... second-team all-Big East Red as a junior... first-team all-conference as a senior... coached by Mike Mauritz... 

Basketball Honors: Four-year varsity contributor for coach Jeff Chew and the Zephyrs... honorable mention all-Big East South as a sophomore... second-team all-league and honorable mention Division 4 WBCA all-state as a junior... first-team all-conference and first-team Division 4 WBCA all-state as a junior... as a senior, averaged 14.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 2.9 steals per game, helping lead St. Mary Catholic (25-2) to a sectional semifinal, falling to eventual Division 4 state champion Laconia... Audrey finished her career with 1,038 points, 494 rebounds, 252 assists, and 244 steals... she is committed to NCAA Division II Black Hills State University...

Favorite Sport (and why): "If I had to pick my favorite sport it would have to be basketball because of its fast-paced play, strategic gameplay, and energy that surrounds the sport. Basketball has been the sport I knew I was going to stick with ever since I was little." 

Best Part of High School Sports (and why): "The best part of high school sports is creating long-lasting friendships and memories that will last a lifetime, with a touch of competitiveness." 

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "The best advice I have received from a high school coach is to never take what you have for granted because before you know it it will be gone, so take in every moment you get." 

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "My most memorable moment in high school sports was when I hit 1000 points on the senior night of this basketball season." 

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "The best part of playing three sports is that each of the sports is the diverse range of skills and experiences you gain, which improves your overall athleticism, teamwork, and the ability to adapt in competitive situations."

Most Difficult Part of Playing Three Sports: "The most difficult part of playing three sports is time management because I have to balance practices, games, and recovery, while also maintaining my academic commitments."

Favorite Opponent (and why): "My favorite opponent is the Oostburg girls basketball team because they are an extremely talented team and every time we compete with them it is always a high-intensity game with a lot of energy."

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against (and why): "The toughest individual I have competed against is Aubrey Leonard from Laconia because she is a very good all-around player offensively and defensively impacting her team every play." 

Most Admired High School Teammate (and why): "My most admired High School Teammate would have to be a past teammate that being Chloe Vogel because she always pushes me to be the best player and person I can be." 

College Plans: "I plan to attend Black Hills State University in South Dakota to play basketball and pursue a major in exercise science."

Activities Outside of Sports: "Activities I enjoy outside of sports include reading, hanging out with friends, hiking, and playing any sort of game with my family."
