McDonell Central senior Aubrey Dorn has been selected as the rSchoolToday Athlete of the Week for the week of February 26 - March 3 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 6,144 total votes this week. Dorn topped all vote getters with 2,073 votes. Mosinee's Tristan Wicklund came in a very close second with 1,958.

Dorn was exceptional as she helped lead McDonell Central back to the WIAA State Girls Basketball Tournament. The 6'0" senior filled the state sheet in the two sectional games, beginning in the 78-46 win over Phillips in the sectional semifinals. Dorn finished with 25 points on 11 of 14 shooting. She added eleven rebounds, eight assists, six steals, and one block. Dorn followed that up with 19 points and 19 rebounds in the 58-38 win over Fall Creek in the sectional finals. She was six of nine from the field and made all seven free throw attempts. McDonell moved up to Division 4 this season after making it to the State Tournament in Division 5 the pst three seasons.

Dorn and the Macks will take on Cuba City in a Division 4 State semifinal at the Resch Center tonight, Thursday, March 7 at around 8:15 pm.
