The 2024 WBCA Division 2 All-State Team is highlighted by four-time first-team selection Gracie Grzesk of Notre Dame. 

Five others received first-team recognition for the third time: Sydney Cherney of Reedsburg, Trista Fayta of Notre Dame, Teagan Mallegni of McFarland, Amy Terrian of Pewaukee, and Gabby Wilke of Beaver Dam. 

Two others are repeat selections: Giselle Janowski of Pewaukee and Megan Johnson of West Salem. 

Grzesk helped lead Notre Dame to a Division 2 state runner-up finish and a 28-2 overall record. The 6-0 wing/forward averaged 17 points, 6.9 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.9 steals per game for coach Sara Rohde and the Tritons. Gracie also made over 50 three-pointers. The Wisconsin recruit finished her career with 1,835 points, along with over 550 rebounds and more than 300 assists. Grzesk, who was a finalist for Ms. Basketball, helped Notre Dame to a 114-5 record with four trips to the state tournament, winning three consecutive Division 2 state titles. 

Cherney led Reedsburg to an 18-8 record. The 5-9 guard averaged a state-best 34 points and 18.5 rebounds per game, along with tallying 6.5 assists per contest for coach Mark Simon and the Beavers. Sydney also knocked down 58 three-pointers. The NCAA Division II Grand Valley State recruit finished her career with 2,556 points 1,154 rebounds, and 413 assists. Cherney helped Reedsburg to an 86-17 record with two state tournament appearances, finishing as the D2 state runner-up in 2021.

Fayta helped lead Notre Dame (28-2) to a D2 state runner-up finish. The 5-8 point guard tallied 17.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 4.4 steals per contest for coach Rohde and the Tritons. Trista also connected on over 50 three-pointers. The Illinois State recruit ends her career with 1,557 points, along with over 350 rebounds, 525 assists, and 310 steals. Fayta, who was a finalist for Ms. Basketball, helped Notre Dame capture three consecutive gold balls and a 113-5 record. 

Mallegni led McFarland to a sectional final appearance and a 22-6 overall record. The 6-0 guard averaged 27.3 points, 10.9 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 3.1 steals, and 1.6 blocks per contest for coach and mother Sara Mallegni and the Spartans. Teagan also made 63 three-pointers. The Iowa recruit finishes her career with 2,470 points, 981 rebounds, 349 assists, 313 steals, and 165 blocks. Mallegni, who was a finalist for Ms. Basketball, led McFarland to a 75-22 record with a state tournament appearance in 2022, which was the Spartans’ first trip since 1999. 

Terrian helped lead Pewaukee to a 29-1 record and the program’s first state championship. The 5-9 guard averaged 18.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.3 steals per game for coach Jim Reuter and the Pirates. Amy also shot 101-for-193 from 3-point land. The Michigan State recruit has compiled 1,424 points, 345 rebounds, 317 assists, and 206 steals, helping Pewaukee to an 83-7 record with three trips to state that resulted in one state title and two state runner-up finishes. 

Wilke led Beaver Dam to a sectional final and a 21-7 overall record. The 6-2 wing/forward averaged 17.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.6 blocks per contest for coach Brayden Wendt and the Golden Beavers. Gabby also shot 43-for-113 on 3-pointers. The South Dakota recruit finished her career with 1,166 points, helping lead Beaver Dam to a 68-14 record over her final three seasons. 

Janowski helped lead Pewaukee (29-1) to its first state title in team history. The 5-8 guard tallied 15 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.5 steals per game for coach Reuter and the Pirates. Giselle also connected on 35 of 96 from behind the arc. Janowski, who holds Division I offers, has 886 points, 270 rebounds, 188 assists, and 113 steals through her first two seasons. She has helped Pewaukee to a 57-3 record with two state tournament appearances (state runner-up in 2023). 

Johnson, a Division 3 first-team selection last season, led West Salem (24-5) to a trip to the state tournament. The 5-11 wing tallied 23 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 3.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks per contest for coach Mike Malott and the Panthers. Megan also made over 35 triples. Through her first three seasons, she has compiled 1,355 points and has led West Salem to the state tournament in back-to-back seasons (D3 in 2023). 

Jordan Fenske led Waukesha West to a regional final appearance and a 16-10 overall record. The 5-10 guard averaged 18.9 points per game with 73 three-pointers made for coach Mark Busalacchi and the Wolverines. Fenske, an Illinois State recruit, has compiled 782 points in her career, helping Waukesha West to a 57-22 record. 

Mikaia Litza led Wauwatosa East (23-6) to its first WIAA state tournament appearance since 1981. The 5-7 point guard tallied 16.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.8 assists, and 2.4 steals per game for coach Mary Merg and the Red Raiders. Mikaia Litza also made 34 three-pointers. Through her first two years, she has 461 points, 335 rebounds, and  200 assists, helping lead Wauwatosa East to a 38-17 record.  

Leah Nordin led Shawano to a regional final and a 17-9 overall record. The 6-1 wing averaged 21.3 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 4.0 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game for coach Ryan Koenig and the Hawks. Leah also connected on 30 three-pointers. She has compiled 1,031 points, 447 rebounds, and 196 steals through her first two seasons. 

Kristina Ouimette led Lakeland to a sectional appearance and a 24-3 overall record. The 6-1 wing tallied 27 points, 7.3 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 4.2 steals, and 2.4 blocks per game for coach and mother Melissa Ouimette and the Thunderbirds. Kristina also shot 106 for 258 from 3-point land. Ouimette, an NCAA Division I Lehigh recruit, has 1,725 points, 602 rebounds, 417 assists, 302 steals, and 192 blocks through her junior season, helping lead Lakeland to a 65-19 record.
