De Pere sits atop the WBCA Division 1 preseason coaches rankings and it's easy to see why. The Red Birds return all but one player from a team that came up one game short of the state tournament last season. Leading the group are returning first-team All-Fox River Classic honorees Easton Arendt and Landon Raygo; both seniors. Arendt is a Winona State commit and went 9-1 on the mound with a 2.49 ERA last season while Raygo hit nearly .400 from his infielder position. Javin Gauthier, a Valparaiso commit, is another key component for Bob Van Rens squad as they look to win their way to Appleton.

Oak Creek, Kimberly, Arrowhead, and Union Grove round out the top five in the rankings and are loaded with more top end talent from the state.
