2024 WIAA 3-Point Challenge competitors

Logan Bahr of Luther won the 2024 WIAA Boys Basketball 3-Point Challenge on Saturday morning at the Kohl Center, and did so in dramatic fashion.

10 participants were selected for the event based on stats information entered by coaches into the WisSports.net database. The top two three-point shooters (minimum 75 attempts) from each division were chosen to participate.

Bahr, a senior from Luther High School in Onalaska, played on this court last year as a junior and won a state championship in Division 4. This year, he competed in a different way on the Kohl Center floor. The sharpshooter came into this year's 3-Point Challenge having made the most threes with of anyone in the competition with 81 and did so at the highest rate, shooting 50% on the year.

The senior sharpshooter scored an 18 in the first round, the highest of any competitor. He then scored another 18 in the semifinals to advance to the finals. Going into the final rack of the final round, Bahr needed just one point to tie and two to win the competition. After missing the first four balls, Bahr made the money ball, worth two points, at the buzzer to win the final round and the competition by a single point, with 19 total points.

Joining Bahr in the finals was Eau Claire North sophomore Tyler Barrows and Ashwaubenon senior Drew Tomashek. Barrows scored an 11 in the finals while Tomashek finished runner-up with a 18.

Notre Dame's Adam Guyette was the fourth shooter of the ten that advanced to the semifinal round of the competition but was four points short of advancing.
