WBCA announces College Awards and Academic All-State

WBCA College Awards

For many years the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association has presented awards to college athletes recognizing top players at the Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 (Public and Private) levels in the state of Wisconsin. Players are eligible if they play at an in-state school or if they played high school basketball in the state.

The WBCA College Awards have continued to expand, and this year will include a Player of the Year for both men and women at each level, but also a Newcomer of the Year and now a College Academic All-State honor.

Like the high school Academic All-State honor, the collegiate award requires that a selected individual have at least a 3.5 GPA.

The WBCA College Awards and Academic All-State recognition can be found below. Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year were voted on by the WBCA Executive Board.
