Sekou Konneh of Wisconsin Lutheran has been selected as the top senior Defender as part of the WSN Senior Basketball Awards.

Fresh from leading Saint Thomas More to a 29-1 record and the WIAA Division 3 state championship, the 6-foot-9 Konneh earned the award by ranking among the state leaders in rebounding (10.7 rpg) and blocked/altered shots (1.3 bspg).

In Saint Thomas More's two state-tournament games, Konneh averaged 21.5 points and 13.0 rebounds. He had three blocked shots in the Division 3 title game win over Lakeside Lutheran.

Konneh, who is undecided on where he will play college basketball but is receiving recent interest from De Paul, completed his three-year high school career with 1,488 points, 966 rebounds and 94 blocked shots.
