Neenah's Allie Ziebell has been picked as the state's top senior shooter as part of the WSN Senior Basketball Awards.

Ziebell is a skilled and athletic guard who is a dominant scorer at all three levels. The 2024 WBCA Ms. Basketball award-winner led Neenah to a Division 1 state runner-up finish in the program's first trip to the state tournament since 2009.

The 6-0 guard averaged 27.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 1.6 steals per game for coach Andy Braunel and the Rockets, which finished the year with a 24-6 record. Allie made a state-high 122 three-pointers while shooting 44.9 percent from behind the arc.

Ziebell, a UConn recruit, finishes her career with 2,819 points (4th all-time), 859 rebounds, 347 assists, 256 steals, and connected on 363 three-pointers while leading Neenah to an 87-21 record.

Ziebell was named a McDonald’s All-American, selected first-team WBCA All-State all four years, and is a two-time FVA Player of the Year.

Allie, who had a long list of scholarship offers, is the second player in girls’ basketball state history to commit to UConn, joining 2023 Ms. Basketball KK Arnold (Germantown).

The finalists for the award were Ziebell, Claire Bjorge of De Pere, Reagan Briggs of Verona, Sydney Cherney of Reedsburg, Teagan Mallegni of McFarland, and Lindsey Schadewalt of New Glarus.

Past winners of the award include Mallory Hoitink of Slinger (2023), Abbie Aalsma of Waupun (2022), Maddy Schreiber of Kimberly (2021), Bridget Froehlke of Wrightstown (2020), Shemera Williams of Milwaukee Academy of Science (2019), Shay Frederic of Hortonville (2018), Tori Martell of Somerset (2017), Dani Rhodes of Waukesha West (2016), Natisha Hiedeman of Green Bay Southwest (2015), Lydia Rohde of Brookfield Central (2014), Rachel Atchison of East Troy (2013), and Taylor Varsho of Marshfield (2012).
