Wisconsin Football Foundation announces 2023 Scholar Athlete Team

The Wisconsin Football Foundation (WFF) has announced its 2023 Scholar-Athlete recipients. The state's chapter of the National Football Foundation, the WFF recognizes the best of the best when it comes to outstanding students and outstanding football players.

The 2023 Wisconsin Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete Team:

  • Kade Frisby, Wilmot
  • Tucker Galindo, Ladysmith
  • Zachary Halbach, Chilton
  • Eric Kenesie, Kenosha St. Joseph
  • Elijah Last, Fox Valley Lutheran
  • Tanner Phelps, Greenfield
  • Jack Ploeckelman, Muskego
  • Bryce Roder, Marquette
  • Max Schneider, Prairie du Chien
  • Keegan Skrzypchak, Janesville Parker
  • Denzel Sutton, Thorp
  • Andrew Wagner, Kettle Moraine

All selections will receive a scholarship from the Wisconsin Football Foundation and be recognized at an awards banquet on April 28th.

About the Author

Travis Wilson serves as the General Manager, Football Editor, and contributing writer for other parts of the site. Wilson was selected as part of the Sports 40 Under 40 list by Coach & AD Magazine and the National High School Athletic Coaches Association for 2019. The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) named Travis the 2015 recipient of the Dave McClain Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves on the WFCA Executive Board and is a member of the Executive Board of the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association. A graduate of Richland Center High School and Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Travis was a three-sport athlete in high school (football, baseball, basketball), inducted to the Richland Center High School Hall of Fame in 2023, and currently resides in Reedsburg.
