Bailey was great for the Kenosha Shoremen boys lacrosse team this past week, leading the squad to a 3-1 record. First in a 9-4 win over Elkhorn, the junior attacker scored three goals and assisted on another. He then had three goals and five assists in a 15-4 win over Cedarburg and four goals and two assists in a 12-3 win over Notre Dame. Bailey finished off his week with another three goals and one assist in a 12-5 loss to Appleton United. On the season, Bailey sits at the top of the leaderboards for scoring in the state with 74 total points. He has 36 goals and 38 assists over 14 games played.
Meredith is one of the, if not the, best softball player in the state and has been dominant for the past three seasons for Kaukauna. Last week was no different for the Virginia commit. In a 2-0 win over Oshkosh West, Meredith got the win on the mound, striking out 17 batters and allowing just four hits over seven innings while adding a hit and run scored offensively. She then dominated again on the mound in a 1-0 shutout of Neenah. Meredith struck out 22 batters and allowed just one hit over ten innings of work for the Galloping Ghosts. The Kaukauna softball team then picked up its 100th consecutive win on Friday, beating Kimberly 11-1. Meredith again was the winner on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings of work and adding two hits and an RBI.
Moyano was a triple winner at the Bay Conference Championships this past weekend for the Green Bay West girls track and field team. She took home a first place finish in the pole vault, winning with a 10-9 vault. The sophomore also won a conference title in both the long jump and triple jump events. In the long jump, Moyano won with a final jump of 16-10.50. She won the triple jump with a distance of 35-04.50. Moyano also ran on the 4x400 meter relay team that finished fourth. Overall, Moyano accounted for 35 of the 66 points scored by the Green Bay West girls track and field team.
Poelma took home a trio of conference titles this past weekend at the Mississippi Valley Conference Championships, completed at the UW-La Crosse Veterans Memorial Stadium. The senior competed in the 110 meter hurdles, winning with a time of 14.79 seconds, which was half a second faster than the second best finisher. He then won the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 39.44. Poelma finished his day by winning the high jump competition with a mark of 6-2.
White has been incredible for the Notre Dame girls lacrosse team this season and had herself a week last week, leading the Tritons to four wins. In a 14-3 win over Pulaski, the sophomore attacker began her week with four goals and three assists. She then had six goals and one assist in a 12-1 win over Neenah. Notre Dame then played a pair of games on Saturday at the Woodside Sports Complex in Wisconsin Dells. White netted seven goals in an 11-10 win over Verona and had three goals and an assist in a 20-1 win over Superior. On the season, White leads the state with 88 points scored, having netted 60 goals herself and assisted on another 28.
