Alex Cook, Washburn -
The 6-0 senior has Washburn off to a solid 7-2 start for head coach Duane Gasperini. The Castle Guards played all 9 of their games in the month of December, and Cook has averaged 28.2 points per game so far, good for second in the state on the year. He also has the two highest single-game scoring marks this year; a 48-point effort in a win over Chequamegon on December 19th and a 43-point outburst in a win against Boyceville on the 29th.

Kyle Kelm, Randolph -
There was some question as to whether Kelm would even be able to play in the month of December after foot injuries hampered him in the spring and summer. But not only has the 6-10 senior been able to play, he has excelled. Kelm averaged 22.5 points per game for Randolph in December and is at 24.6 on the season as the Rockets are off to an 8-0 start. The Rockets picked up wins over a D1 program (Milwaukee Bay View), a solid D2 team (Plymouth), and one of the best D3 teams (Dominican) during December. Kelm went for a team-high 21 points in the 36-32 win over Dominican.

Jordan Mach, Antigo -
Mach's play is a big reason the Red Robins are off to a perfect 9-0 start. The senior guard has averaged 27.8 points per game on the year, and tallied 24.2 points per contest in six December games. Against Merrill in a big early season matchup in the Great Northern Conference, Mach poured in 30 points to lead the Robins to a 59-48 win.

Roy Marshall, Milwaukee Pulaski -
Marshall has taken a circuitous path to Milwaukee Pulaski High School after attending several different schools in the past and having to petition the WIAA for eligibility this season. Luckily for Marshall and head coach Billy Harris things are going well right now. Marshall has been one of the state's best players so far this year and is averaging over 25 points per game.

Ben Mills, Arrowhead -
Mills is one of the state's most improved players so far in the 2009-10 campaign. After scoring around 13 points per contest last year, Mills has used an improved all-around game to pour in over 18 points per game this year. His play, including some outstanding rebounding performances, is one of the big reasons Arrowhead started the year 7-0 and held the #1 spot in the WSN Coaches Poll before falling to Wisconsin Lutheran in their last game. Mills did all he could though, scoring 22 points and grabbing a tournament-high 18 rebounds in the game. The previous day in a big matchup with Menomonee Falls, Mills scored 19 points and pulled down 16 boards while providing the game-winning putbback with 15 seconds left in a 67-66 win.
