JANESVILLE -- After a rainy Tuesday forced most of the state's baseball sectional games to be postponed, it is a beautiful day on the banks of the Rock River at Riverside Park in Janesville.

Fort Atkinson holds a 9-6 lead over Oregon after five innings in the first of two semifinals hosted by Janesville Craig.

Fort grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a two-run home run to left-center by Josh Boos.

Oregon countered with a three-run first highlighted by Joe Stetzer's two-run double and an RBI-double by Brooks McMahon, Mike Knutson delivered a two-run double and Boos added a run-scoring double in the third inning to stake Fort to a 5-3 lead.

The Blackhawks made it 7-3 in the fourth on run-scoring singles by Sam Hartwick and Knutson.

Fort extended its lead to 9-3 in the fifth on Eric Burow s two-run single which chased Oregon starting pitcher Matt Marszalek.

But Oregon pulled within 9-6 in the fifth on Stetzer's bases-loaded double that cleared the bases.

The winner of this game will meet the winner of Milton vs. Oconomowoc, which is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start. The championship game is set for 5 p.m.
