I got my start in sports: playing tee-ball and football in kindergarten and hockey in first grade.
I wish I could play: lacrosse.
Baseball highlights: Cougars finished 21-6-1 overall, including a 13-5 record and second-place finish in the Big Eight Conference, and earned a berth in the 2009 WIAA Division 1 state quarterfinals … earned Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association second-team all-state, first-team all-district and first-team all-conference honors as a senior at shortstop … three-time letterwinner and three-year starter at shortstop.
2009 stats: Batted .400 (38-for-95) with 31 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple and 21 RBI … drew 14 walks with three hit by pitches and was 12-for-15 in stolen bases … had .491 on-base percentage and .516 slugging percentage … pitching stats: 1-1 record with 1.19 ERA in eight appearances, including four saves, covering 17 2/3 innings with 16 strikeouts.
Other sports honors: Two-year letterwinner in football, starting at defensive back as a junior and quarterback as a senior … earned All-Big Eight Conference honors and second-team all-area honors at QB as a senior … four-time letterwinner in hockey as a forward … earned 2009 second-team all-conference honors.
