Hello Everyone – This is actually the second bulletin of the day. The first one was some situations from the WIAA office that they have noticed or answered lately so be sure to read those.

Giachino is now Mr. 250

My good friend Tom Giachino of Luxemburg-Casco picked up his 250th win tonight in the regional quarter-final. Congratulations to the newst Mr. 250! I deleted Tom s name from the 200 win list and added it to the 250 win list.

Diedrich, Athens Coach is now Mr. 100

Craig Diedrich of Athens became the newest member of the 100 win club in the Fastpitch Chronicle Coaches Honor Roll. That honor roll can now be viewed on the WSN site. Just click on Coaches HR on the options line in the red bar at the top of the page. Congratulations Craig. I have added his name to that list.

Here is a shocker.

Around the horn in Divisions 2-3 and 4 today

The other night in my previews I said that I didn t know much about Roncali. They were upset tonight in Division 3 by the #8 seeded Mishicot club. In that same regional Manitowoc Lutheran, the #6 seed upset the #3 seed Brillion. In another D-3 regional the #6 Necedah upset #3 Brookwood. #2 seeded Waterloo just skimmed past #7 Pardeeville 3-2 in that regional. Cambridge, the #5 beat Poynette the #5 6-1.

In Division 2, Ripon the #6 seed upset Plymouth the #3 seed. #5 Seymour beat my sleeper, #4 Marinette 10-3.

In Division 4 #7 seeded Cambria-Friesland upset the #2 seed Living Word Lutheran. Gibraltar the #6 seed beat St. Thomas Academy/Lena the #3 seed.

Michelle Jones of Madison LaFollette twirled a 7-inning perfect game this afternoon against Beloit Memorial and fanned 11. She has now fanned more than 200 batters this season. She is also batting .321 to help her own cause. She s a junior.

Have a great day!

Keep it Rising!

Bob
