Hello Everyone – I spent a couple of hours last night putting together a great bulletin only to get bumped off the WSN site as I was loading it up. I didn t know about the inactivity thing on the site and for the first time all year, was typing the Bulletin right on the site instead of typing, copying and pasting. I ll try to include some of the stuff I typed last night in this shorter version. Here is an e-mail from an Ashwaubenon player I received on Tuesday.

Mr. Tomlinson,

I just read your latest bulletin about Emily Krueger from Portage, breaking her bat. I felt like I was dreaming today. Our game today was Ashwaubenon against Green Bay East. I was in the dug out, and Kelli Halron from Ashwaubenon was up to bat. She swung at a ball and fouled it off. She looked down and was now only holding her bat handle. Her bat had broken into two pieces. It split right at the neck of the bat. I was astonished to see a broken bat considering I had just read the Bulletin about a broken bat. Reading it made me go "Wow!" And another amazing thing is Kelli just purchased the new bat at most a month because her Easton Stealth bat had cracked. So she is going to be going on her third bat of the season. I think that is astonishing. Thanks for your time. I am a junior playing on Ashwaubenon. I love you site and thanks for the exciting bulletins.

Sarah Traeger Here is another broken bat story from an e-mail I received on Tuesday.

Bob,

When I read your bulletin about the broken softball bat it made me chuckle. I saw the same exact thing happen at one of our games 2 weeks ago against Marinette. Niki Euhardy swung the bat & it broke by the handle & one end went one way and it ended up the ball didn;t go far & got the 3rd out. Just a story I thought to share since I saw the same thing happen.

Brent Erdman Here is an interesting story from Homestead High School.

Bob,In twenty five plus years of coaching never had this happen. Three different pitchers threw a no hitter in three consecutive games!Thursday, May 1, senior Ally Hrkac - 7 inning no hitter against Milwaukee Lutheran - 10-0 - 5 K's - 2 BB'sMonday, May 5, sophomore Bekah Rennicke - 6 inning no hitter against Milwaukee Lutheran again - 10-0 - 5 K's - 3 BB'sTuesday, May 6, junior Courtney Hrkac - 5 inning no hitter against Whitefish Bay - 10-0 - 3 K's - 2 BB'sThis is the first time in a number of years we have thrown a no hitter and to have three in a row by three different pitchers is amazing.Keep up the great work,Dave Keel - Homestead Softball Make sure you read yesterday s Opening Pitch Blog stories and especially the one about the Athens second sacker pulling off an unassisted triple play on Monday. That s it for nowKeep it Rising!Bob
