Humma, Humma, Humma!

Hello Again Fastpitch Affacianados!

It's abooot 10 pm on Thursday night. I just got off the phone after ringing up Mike Roberts, Head Coach at Denmark. He's a longtime friend from New Zealand, thus the Kiwi speak in this paragraph.  They dropped an 8-inning, 1-0 game to Marinette today. So after our 3-1 loss at Luther Prep we sobbed together over busted chances and bounces that go the wrong way.

Several coaches from across the state have answered my call and have become, for lack of a better term, "updaters" for their conferences. That means that those coaches will update all the schedules they can for the schools in their conference whose coaches don't upload schedules, rosters, or scores. By getting more access to their conference schools the updaters can try to keep things as close to correct as possible so the records and conference standings are up to date. The WSN site depends entirely on having those schedules correct and up to date. Once entered, the stats from a game and the score gets posted on several other pages of the softball site. If you are interested in being an "updater" for your conference, just contact me and I'll get you access to all those teams. I think this idea will cut down on a lot of the fragmentation that I am suffering from and the fragmentation that others are experiencing in looking for scores, reports, correct standings etc.

The weather is the big question for the next two days as there are many games on the docket statewide and several nice events that fans can take in. The Poynette Fastpitch Jamboree is slated for Friday and Saturday. The schedule is posted on www.fastpitchchronicle.com/jamboree08.htm so you can look there.

Have a great day and as always -----

Keep it Rising!

Bob
