Take this one to right field!

Hello Again fastpitch folks!

The weather was cool but sunny here today and we actually got a game in on our field. The weather is not looking too promising for the end of the week, however. Teams entered in the Poynette Jamboree should note that we will make a decision for Friday's rounds of games early in the day so that teams traveling a long distance can adjust their plans.

Here are the official standings for the newly formed Eastern Valley Conference as of tonight. Thanks to Tim Whitford at Winneconne for updating things. He's trying to keep things updated on the Eastern Valley Conference page too but when coaches from other schools refuse to enter their schedule, and roster and post game score results it makes it tough to do.

I'm looking for at least one coach in every conference who would be interested in a bit more access to the WSN site in order to update schedules and perhaps rosters from the schools in their conference whose coaches do not submit informatiion to this website and only report scores in their local papers. Get in touch with me if you are interested.

Freedom          10-0

Little Chute      12-1

FVL                  7-2

Winneconne     10-3

Xavier              5-5

Clintonville        4-7

Waupaca          3-8

Berlin                2-11

Omro                0-7

Ripon                0-11

In the Capitol North there is currently a three-way knot at the top of the conference in terms of number of losses. Columbus and Luther Prep split a twinbill the other day and Luther Prep owns a 7-2 win earlier in the season over Poynette. All three teams won on Tuesday to remain deadlocked at the top. Poynette is due to travel to Luther Prep on Thursday of this week. Poynette has twinbill dates on back to back days next week with Lakeside Lutheran and Columbus. Luther Prep clearly has the inside track for a conference title this year in that conference.

Keep it Rising!

Bob
