It s a hump-back liner!

Hello Again fastpitch fans.

It s Friday night and there was a bit of excitement right above me this afternoon. You may have heard or read about the tornado that touched down near Wyocena just south of Pardeeville. That tornado formed right above my house as I stood just inside my basement door and watched it. It moved off to the east and within a minute or two the NBC affiliate in Madison had a storm chaser call in and report the tornado on the ground just east of my house. The clouds were really rotating as they passed above me.

No damage occurred here, however, but apparently there is a mess about 2 or 3 miles east of me.

Rain forced more cancellations in this area today. Heavy rains in the morning flooded many ball yards including ours. By practice time, however, we could have played on both of the softball fields at Poynette. We had called off our games, which was a good thing, because that tornado formed at what would have been game time.

Here is a great press release from the NCAA
