Earl's Club Update

Kenosha, WI -- Fresh off participating in their 3rd consecutive AAU tournament at Disney World in January (is there anything better for a Wisconsin team than Florida in January?) a veteran laden Earl's Club of Kenosha, WI is prepared for the 2008 season after adding a few new faces and targeting a new level of play.

After many years of competing at the ISC II level, Earl's will be looking to qualify for the World Tournament in Kimberly this season to compete with the very best in the game. Although the full roster won't be available until late July, Earl's plans to play in the Wisconsin NAFA travel league, the Wisconsin Classic League/ISC State, Townline Invitational, the local Bristol Progress Days and the Farm Tavern tournaments.

A veteran of World Tournament play, Wayne Gaura will again anchor the pitching staff while Glen Nelson will also toe the rubber in addition to keeping his potent bat in the lineup. Todd Lubkeman will join the pitching mix this year and will be counted on to deliver quality innings and hitting pop to the lineup.

Rich Edwards and Dale Horton highlight the returning position players, each bringing powerful offense, strong defense, and leadership to the team. Newcomers Jeremy Maginn, Mark Nelson, and Chance Schmid bring additional firepower and versatility to the lineup while other returning players Mike Frodermann, Bruce Pirkel, Paul Skora, Jay Gilray,Tony Schaaf, Jay Hrdlicka, Tim Barsuli, Al Weidner, Scott Gillmore, Jason Gerum, Eric Klabunde and Kirk Kamke each contribute to the success the team enjoys.
