The Oshkosh Lourdes softball team
opened its season with a win over a Trailways-North Conference foe. The Knights' Brittany Wolff took the win, pitching all five innings,throwing seven strikes and allowing three walks. She also went 1-for-3at the plate with 3 RBI.
"I think (Wolff) did a great job," Lourdes coach Whitney Tyriver said."She started off the game really strong. The last two innings they started hitting the ball a little bit, but our defense stepped up and Brittany got us out of it."
Liz Semanas went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBI, and Haley Bartlettwent 2-for-4 with a double and four RBI.
"I think this was a great win for us to start the year off," Tyriver said. "I think we hit the ball well and I think our defense got out of some tight situations and we played really well as a team today."

Roundup: Glodowski throws no-hitter in home opener
AMHERST -- Kate Glodowski pitched a no-hitter and struck out three to carry the Falcons to a 13-0 win over Bonduel in five innings of their Central Wisconsin Conference large school opener. Glodowski walked three and benefited from a bases-clearing triple by Marissa Trzebiatowski in the bottom of the fourth inning that invoked the 10-run rule.
Amherst is scheduled to visit Weyauwega-Fremont on Thursday.

Laura Raflik had a varsity debut to remember, tossing a no-hitter as the Cardinals routed the Eagles in a CWC large division matchup. Raflik had plenty support as Sara Saddlemyer had five RBIs while Lindsey Halbach drove in four runs.
