The weather in this part of the state doesn t look very promising for the rest of the week. Today would have been a day we could have moved a game up and played on our field but it comes back to that Wednesday thing at many schools

.

I received my 2008 International Softball Congress World Championship Guide today. It came from the Executive Director out in Salt Lake City. The ISC is a men s fastpitch organization whose 2008 World Tournament will be played in Kimberly, Wisconsin in August. It starts at noon on the second Sunday of August and runs through the following Saturday. At one point in my fastpitch life I was an ISC commissioner and was a member of the Executive Committee. That all ended in 2004 however. I ll probably take in a few games at the world tournament just to be able to see some of the great friends I made within the men s game.

I posted a bunch of links to articles about games played on Tuesday around the state. Those are posted on the Opening Pitch Blog on the wissports.net website so be sure to check them out

Pardeeville's Natalia Chapman fanned 14 of the 18 batters she faced on Wednesday in a game against Rio. Chapman is a junior.
