Highland won tonight against Belmont 9-0. This was our 1st game, and Belmont s 3rd. 1st conference game. Laci Pustina had 9 K s 1 BB and allowed 6 hits. Chelsey Schubert and Tia Niffenegger both had doubles. Brooke Morrisey pitched for Belmont she had 4K s 4 BB and 15 hitsallowed;

This was a great season opener for us. It was tough coming in not playing anyone yet, and knowing that Belmont had already played 3 games. We have some young girls this year who really stepped it up. It is great to have Laci back to 100%. We play again on Monday against Shullsburg.
