River Valley – Coach Jane Briehl – 7th Year – 14th year overall – (9-6) and (10-9 overall) – Assistant Coaches Chris Schoenwetter 4th year, Pam Gauger 4th year, Jerica Crook 1st Year – The Blackhawks lost two players to graduation from a team that finished in second place in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference in 2007. Returning letterwinners include Brittney Foster (Sr.), Briana Ringelstetter (Sr.), Lindsey Stapleton (Sr.), Kyrie Kasten (Sr.), Nicole Ring (Jr.), Chelsea Nelson (Jr.), Lisa Brey and Sarah Crook. Some newcomers inclue Shannon McGuire, Marina Faber. Abbey Dolan; They also have senior Britni Maxwell who was injured her freshman year but is back out in 2008. With a strong nucleus of letterwinners Head Coach Jane Briehl feels that her club will do well. They will be striving to stay consistent with their defense and be able to hit in the clutch.
