Oconto:

Southern Door:

Sturgeon Bay: We graduated quite a few girls from last year's team. Most notable was our pitcher, Stephanie Shefchek, who was a four year starter for us. We do return our shortstop, Megan Rubens, a senior who led us in batting the last two years. Also returning is Sarah McCaulley, a senior who will start at catcher. Sarah Watermollen, senior, returns at 1st.   Jenny LaLuzerne, a junior who will play center field, and Heather Schmitt, a senior who will start in left field also return as starters for us. The Packerland conference will once again be strong with Algoma, Southern Door, Sevastopol, and Oconto fighting it out. We are looking compete and improve each time out.

Algoma: Coach Chuck Swoboda - Year - Algoma has all its starters back from a team that was co-champs in the Packerland Small division with eventual State Champion Sevastopol. We have 3 - 1st team All Conference Players back Sam Zastrow (Junior Shortstop, .382 batting average) Shana Vandertie (Senior outfielder, ..438 batting average) Ashley Stangel (Junior utility, .462 batting average) 3 – 2nd team All conference players. Lyndsay Swoboda (Junior Pitcher, ..358 batting average, 2.4 era) Kayla Major (Senior outfield, .397 batting average) Erin Haasch (Senior catcher, .263 batting average) 1 Honorable Mention player Jenny Haasch (Junior First baseman, .393 batting average). They expect to be in the top 3 of a very good conference barring any injuries.

Gibraltar:

Kewaunee - Coach Mike Bloniarz , 4th season. Kewaunee will have nine varsity players returning this season. Eight seniors and one junior. With pitching from two senior pitchers with four years each of varsity pitching the team should be very competitive in a tough conference filled with good pitchers. Kewaunee's starting infield position will have new players this year after graduating four infielders last season. With the senior leadership and a talented group of juniors and sophomores the team will have experience and depth at all positions.

NEW Lutheran - Kellie Meerstein (10th season) -

Sevastopol: Coach Tim Newton - 1st Year - First year head coach Tim Newton will welcome 5 returning starters this season from a team that won the WIAA Division 3 state title.. Some outstanding talent has moved on to college ball. Shortstop Sara Junion received a full ride scholarship and is playing for UW Green Bay. Senior pitcher Carissa Neinas will be back along with fellow seniors Allison Junion (SS) and Lacey Weber (1B). All returning players have two years of State Tournament experience, so they will be asked to use that experience and lead this young team. Tryouts will play a big role in our success this year, as we will need to put 6 new faces to our team.
