Homestead - Coach Dave Keel - 26th Year - Assistant Coach -Marlaina Feller - The Highlanders must replace North Shore Player of the Year and 1st team All State SS Lindsey Cashman. Cashman led Homestead to the state tournament the last two years, losing in the first round to Stae Champion Kimberly & Claudia Harke last year. Returning pitchers include senior Ally Hrkac, junior Courtney Hrkac, and sophomore Bekah Rennicke. They will have freshman Amy Keel & junior Ciara Beckers catching this year. Returning 3rd team All State center fielder Rachael Young will lead in the outfield. Senior Beth Schulte, juniors Erin Umhoefer & Lisa Brancaccio will also see time in the outfield. Infielders will consist of sophomores Britt Schlaeger, Michelle Zoeller, Sarah Block, Erica Reetz along with junior Blair Winograd. The North Shore conference championship will be a battle between Germantown, Grafton, Cedarburg, Port Washington & Homestead as all five teams return talented players this season.

Grafton returns 8 starters from last years 14-7, 10-4 team. Nicole Brandenburg(1st team), will share pitching duties with Julie Koch(2nd team) while they share 1st base duties. Shauna Binsfeld(1st team) shortstop, Mary Kalies(2nd team) 3rd base, and Jackie Reif(4 yr letter)  2nd base make up the infield. Kaitlyn Brandenburg(2nd team) returns to catch. Kenzie Daley(hon ment) outfielder will defend along with Courtney Riebe and Laura Prom. Two former varsity players return from major knee injuries this season, Rachel Hartwig and Stephanie Dasko. Coach Stu Hannam, asst. coaches  Michelle Hannam and Chuck Blankenheim look for improvement from a 3rd place 2007 conference season.[/align]
