Sheboygan Area Lutheran --Coach: Keith Knepfel, eighth year -Last year: 7-14, 6-6 CLC (third)

Returning letter winners: Juniors: Hillary Kammerzelt, Brianne Neils; Sophomores: Casey Sippel, Katelyn Winkel.

Other varsity prospects: Sophomore: Chelsea Watry, Samantha McNamer; Freshmen: Brianna Drestler, Hayleigh Buechel, Abbey Neils, Stephanie Knepfel, Emily Van Oss.

Outlook: With no seniors and only two juniors, this year will mainly be a learning experience for the Resorters. Freshmen will have to fill several starting roles, which can help in their development.

Howards Grove - Coach: Dannielle Wilson, fifth year - Last year: 16-6, 11-1 CLC (first)

Returning letter winners: Juniors: Dayton Moenning, Abby Milbrath, Alex Joyal, Ashlee Finnell, Melissa Valenstein, Katie Wehrmann, Erica Meyer; Sophomores: Melissa Born, Michelle Hansen.

Other varsity prospects: Sophomore: Jessica Genske; Freshmen: Jenna Rautmann, Steph Bergmann, Tracy Wehrmann, Beth Meyer, Christina Larson.

Outlook: Howards must find a way to replace four first-team All-CLC performers last year, but the Tigers seem to have what it takes to do just that and compete for another league crown. Moenning was a unanimous first-team pitcher, while Milbrath and Finnell were second-team picks. There are no seniors on the roster.

Oostburg - Coach: Molly Hengst, sixth year - Last year: 15-6, 9-2 CLC (second)

Returning letter winners: Seniors: Hannah Schouten, Megan Van Tatenhove, Kara Menzel; Juniors: Kristine Kuffel, Bernadine Trimberger, Susan Asselin, Elena Wittneben, Ali Swart, Jessica McCabe, Wendy Hilbelink; Sophomores: Kylee Summers, Liz Flipse, Krissie Kramer, Julie Raeder.

Other varsity prospects: Megan TenHaken, Morgan Mullikin, Danielle Hurlbutt.

Outlook: The Flying Dutchmen will be right there in the hunt for a CLC title, led by their seniors. Schouten was a first-team All-CLC pitcher, Menzel a second-team outfielder and Van Tatenhove an honorable mention shortstop. Several other roles will be filled by juniors who played last year, as well.

Sheboygan Lutheran/Kohler - Coach: Tom Rusch, sixth year - Last year: 5-14, 2-9 CLC

Returning letter winners: Senior: Val Feldmann; Junior: Ann Jens; Sophomores: Teresa Poth, Justine Schmitz, Megan Oslaldil, Steph Kempf, Jessica Kanz, Alex Emmer.

Other varsity prospects: Juniors: Michelle Arenz, Crystal Simon; Sophomores: Ashley Schroeder, Kirsten Kohlmann; Freshmen: Rebecca Quam, Erin Lammers, Emma Filop, Mary Molepske.

Outlook: The Crusaders have a lot of returning experience from last year's team. But now they're all only sophomores, which means there are still learning curves for this young team. The squad also adds depth with the addition of Kohler to a co-op program, which should help in the long run.
