The WIAA Boy's volleyball tournament will be in full swing tonight, as the field of 51 was cut to 32 with last Friday's regional finals. Here is a preview of tonight's sectional matchups.

KIMBERLY SECTIONAL

Top-seeded Kaukauna will host Green Bay Preble/East, which the Ghosts swept once at the Lightning Invitaional at Appleton North and again in conference play. Preble/East upset #4 Appleton East in the regional final. Speaking of the Lightning, Appleton North hosts Kimberly in the 2 vs. 3 matchup. North swept the Papermakers early in the season in FVA play before also beating them 3-0 at Kaukauna's triangular two weeks ago.

GERMANTOWN SECTIONAL

Fifth-seeded Neenah upset fourth-seeded Fond du Lac to move onto the sectional semifinals, but has quite a drive as it heads to Nicolet to play the top-seeded Knights. Homestead earned a sweep over Germantown and will travel to second-seeded Arrowhead in the lower half of the bracket.

KETTLE MORAINE SECTIONAL

Madison LaFollette was the third of four 5-seeds to advance past the regional round, as the Lancers beat Big 8 rival Fort Atkinson in five thrilling sets. LaFollette will play top-ranked Catholic Memorial. Second-seeded Kettle Moraine will host third-seeded Waukesha West, who earned a victory Friday night over Madison East in sweeping fashion. The Lasers just beat Waukesha West on October 15, in a 3-2 Classic 8 tilt.

BURLINGTON SECTIONAL

A Big 8 bash will take place in Middleton as the top-ranked Cardinals host fifth-ranked Madison Memorial, a 3-2 winner over the Regents of Madison West. A similar in-conference tussle will take place in Salem, as Westosha Central will host Burlington. The Falcons have played the Demons three times already this season and have yet to lose a set.

WAUKESHA NORTH SECTIONAL

Top-ranked Marquette will host the Northstars of Waukesha North, a 3-0 winner over crosstown rival Waukesha South. The Hilltoppers have remained at or near the top of the WSN Boys' rankings since September. Pius XI will host its sectional semifinal with West Allis Hale, who earned another sweep of a crosstown rival in West Allis Centra.

WHITEFISH BAY SECTIONAL

Wauwatosa East hosts the co-op of Whitefish Bay/Dominican, winners in straight sets over Brookfield Central. The Red Raiders beat WB/D to open October by a score of 3-1. Second-seeded Wauwatosa West will host Shorewood, as the Greyhounds disposed of Brookfield East in the regional round.

MUSKEGO SECTIONAL

New Berlin United also flirted with the top spot in the polls with Marquette all season, and will host fourth-seeded Muskego, winner of a 3-1 matchup versus Kenosha Tremper in the regional round. Third-seeded Kenosha Bradford beat South Milwaukee in three and will travel north to Franklin to play the second-seeded Sabers. Franklin leads the season series 2-1, as Bradford last beat the Sabers at the SEC Tournament two weekends ago.

GREENFIELD SECTIONAL

Three of the four Racine schools remain after the regional round, as top-seeded Horlick will host St. Catherine's in the Angels' second straight sectional berth in just their second year of WIAA postseason existence. Second-seeded Case, a 3-0 winner over Heritage Christian, will host the Hustlin' Hawks of Greenfield. Greenfield just edged Park 3-2, earning a sectional berth.

Tonight's winners will move on to Thursday night's sectional finals. The boys' state competition will be held Friday, November 13 at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee.
