The latest issue of the popular WSN Illustrated magazine is available to view online right now and will be arriving in schools very soon. The magazine, founded by Laura Ritchie and now under the WisSports.net umbrella, features articles on the spring sports with an eye towards the busy summer months. 



In fact, this issue features the tagline "Dive Into Summer", as it contains articles on many of the sports that crown champions during the summer months (or at least what most people consider summer) as well as a Summer Event Guide with lots of great sporting ideas. Included in the sports articles are a look at all the changes in softball rules as seen by legendary Poynette coach Bob Tomlinson in his years involved with the sport, the trend of girls soccer players choosing colleges sooner and sooner, track athletes that excel in more than one event and much more. Baseball, boys tennis, and boys golf are also featured with team and athlete profiles.



This issue's ALT article takes a look at athletes that compete in the Special Olympics, while RIVALRY focuses on both the boys and girls soccer teams of Madison East and Madison West. The Stevens Point softball team and its record seven state titles is profiled in the PROGRAM section. A look at the golf team for the state's smallest public high school is the topic for this issue's OVERCOME article, while the Varsho sisters from Marshfield are profiled for the FAMILY. Columns by WSN contributors Mark Miller and Nicholas Kartos are also featured.



Our ever-popular state tournament photo spread is eight pages of all the best pictures and highlights from each of the winter sports championships. Pictures are provided by Visual Image Photography, the official photographer of the WIAA and all state tournament events.



The online version of the magazine allows the reader to browse through the issue, zoom in on articles or pages for further exploration, print out select pages, and even download a .pdf version.
