Lance Baretz, Franklin - Baretz has been outstanding all year (and actually for three years now), and the senior dual-threat QB put on a display in a 55-14 win over Southeast Conference foe Oak Creek Thursday night. He completed 16 of 27 passes for 331 yards and 4 touchdowns, and added 67 yards and 1 more TD's on the ground as the Sabers moved to 5-0 on the season. The performance was that much more impressive considering the howling winds the game was played in.

Caleb Belknap, Menasha - Belknap was a workhorse for the Bluejays Friday night as they tried to control the game against Oshkosh West's high-flying aerial attack. The junior running back carried the ball 43 times for 264 yards and 3 touchdowns as Menasha pulled out a 28-14 win to stay unbeaten on the season and clinch a playoff berth. His 15-yard touchdown run in the first quarter opened the scoring, and he capped it off with a 6 yard scamper in the fourth quarter to seal it.

Tyler Ketz, Clayton - Coming into Saturday's game against Elmwood, Ketz had thrown for less than 300 yards on the season as he and the team adjusted to faces at the receiver positions. But when his team needed it, he cut it loose. Ketz threw for a state season-high 507 yards on 22 of 29 passing with 6 touchdowns as the Bears rallied for a 47-46 victory. His 507 yards is fifth best in state history according to the WFCA. His TD passes of 64 and 38 yards in the fourth quarter brought Clayton back from a 46-34 deficit in the team's Homecoming game.

John Kopriva, Milwaukee Marquette - Kopriva has gotten better and better in his first season as the starting quarterback for Marquette. His improvement has mirrored the improvement Marquette has shown since starting 0-2 on the season. Playing at previously unbeaten Brookfield East Friday night, Kopriva completed 19 of 30 passes for 303 yards and 4 touchdowns, all career highs. The Hilltoppers dominated the game, winning 34-0 to move to 3-0 in the Greater Metro Conference.

Jesse Scholl, Ithaca - Scholl did a little bit of everything to help Ithaca defeat undefeated and third-ranked De Soto Friday night. The senior back scored early and often, rushing for 165 yards and 4 touchdowns on just 10 carries and also picking up 172 receiving yards and 2 more TD's on three catches. The Bulldogs' 52-14 win pulled them into a tie for second place in the Ridge & Valley Conference.

Taylor Bergmann, Clayton - Bergmann was on the receiving end of 9 passes for 287 yards and 4 touchdowns from Ketz; 287 yards is 10th-highest in state history.

Ryan Nyhagen, Stoughton - Threw 65-yard touchdown on fake punt, kicked 37 yard field goal, had two interceptions, and named Homecoming King; not a bad day's work.
