Outstanding running back and defensive back for the Rockets … Gained 1,685 yards and scored 28 touchdowns as a senior while leading Randolph to a 12-1 record … A first-team all-Trailways Conference running back and defensive back the past two seasons under coach Pat Winch … Led Randolph to conference championships in each of the past two seasons … Earned all-district and all-state honors as a senior from the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association.

Golf Honors: Three-year letter winner entering senior season … Was voted as the MVP of the Randolph squad as a junior.

Favorite Sport: “Football is my favorite. We struggled during my freshmen year, but we got better each year and the sport just grew on me. It came more naturally for me, especially as a senior.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “The fun you can have and the competition you face. We get the best competition out of every team we play, week in and week out. Practicing with your teammates is also a lot of fun because you are there with your friends.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “I actually have two. Winning the state championship last season in basketball and finishing undefeated. We set the state record for most wins in a single season (29). In football, advancing to the state semifinals as a senior is another great memory. We were down 14 and needed a touchdown to get back into the game. I got the ball on went around the end and was able to stiff arm a kid, and then I jumped over two other defenders to get into the end zone.”

Best Advice Received from High School Coach: “In basketball, we always use the saying, ‘Leave no doubt.’ In football, coach Winch put into our heads to go 1-0 every play. If you win the play, you win that part of the game. And if you win that part of the game, you’ll win the game.”

Best Part of Playing Four Sports: “I love the variety of all the sports. You also get to have good connections with people. At Randolph, it’s such a small school you can be a player and do well on all the teams. At a bigger school, you can’t always do that.”

Toughest Part of Playing Four Sports: “Especially in the spring with baseball and golf, I miss a lot of school during the second part of the day so I have to come in and get a lot of extra work from my teachers.”

Favorite Opponents: “For football, it would be Cambria-Friesland. We’ve always had a strong rivalry and we are just five minutes apart. For basketball, it’s usually Oshkosh Lourdes or Green Lake. They are always the next best teams in our conference. For baseball, I’d have to say Green Lake because they are always tough.”

Favorite College Teams: Wisconsin Badgers, Oregon football.

Favorite Professional Teams: Green Bay Packers, Miami Heat.

Cumulative GPA: 3.0

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “We’ve played against a lot of good opponents. I can’t really say one person because we played against Whitefish Bay Dominican and Waunakee in basketball and they both have a lot of very good players.”

College Plans: “I am looking at Platteville and Stevens Point to play football. I plan to study engineering.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Letter Club President at Randolph, officiate Randolph Boys and Girls’ club basketball games.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I like to hang out with friends and have a good time.”
