Alana Cesarz, Delavan-Darien - UNLV recruit and Delavan-Darien senior Alana Cesarz has worked her tail off all season long for the Comets. This season the senior forward has really worked on her outside game, dropping 36 points and three 3-pointers against Big Foot, as well as 27 against Waterford. Cesarz averaged 23.5 points per game in January and currently ranks eighth in state scoring.

Allison Ostrander, Seneca - Seneca may have just 92 students enrolled this season, but the Indians girls basketball team is definitely playing big. A big reason for the team's 16-0 season mark is the play of senior guard Allison Ostrander, who averaged 17.4 points in January. As teams continue to turn the defensive focus on her, Ostrander has made them pay by filling the assist role. She currently ranks fifth in Division 5 scoring.

Michelle Piepenburg, Chilton - Piepenburg headlines a currently undefeated Chilton squad that is primed for a solid run the rest of the season. The 6-0 senior forward averaged 21.3 points per game in January and has proven effective from inside and out. Piepenburg scored a season-high 29 against Manitowoc Lutheran early in January and is within reach of scoring 1,000 points in her high school career. Currently, Piepenburg is the highest-scoring player in the entire Division 3 field.

Stefanie Siroin, Washburn - Washburn's big threat inside, the 6-2 junior forward Siroin torched Indianhead opponents in the month of January alone, averaging 27.3 points and 9.9 rebounds in the Castle Guards' seven-game slate. Currently ranked fifth in state scoring, Srioin has led Washburn to a second-place spot in the Indianhead Conference race behind only Hurley--a mid-month showdown against which she went for 25 points and 15 boards.

Taylor Varsho, Marshfield - Varsho has been the heart and soul of the Marshfield squad this season averaging 22 points a game overall. The junior guard leads all of Division 1 in scoring, and in January alone has made a statement to the rest of the Wisconsin Valley Conference. Against Wausau east, she poured in 31, then a week later went for 30 in a victory over Wisconsin Rapids to give Marshfield full control of their WVC destiny.
