Favorite Sport: “It’s a tossup between basketball and football. Basketball, I enjoy playing against other kids and, of course, being lucky enough to play in Madison two years in a row. But it’s hard to pick against football. We’ve had a lot of success in football, too. It’s hard to choose one over the other.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “The big thing is creating friendships with other kids, both in and out of the conference. It’s also fun to create friendships with the coaches. Being able to go out and basically have fun with what you are doing is a highlight.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “I have two of them. One was scoring 31 points against Poynette last year to earn a trip to the WIAA State Tournament. The other one was my senior year in football when we were playing Eau Claire Regis. I had a 72-yard touchdown run late in the fourth period that helped us seal the game and move on to Level 3. We lost to Edgar, the eventual state champion, in Level 4.”

Best Advice Received from High School Coach: “From all my coaches, and being lucky enough to play varsity sports as a freshman in all three sports, the biggest thing they told me was to never back down. Even though I was going against juniors and seniors, the coaches told me to take it to them and give 100 percent no matter what.”

Best Part of Playing Four Sports: “The best part of playing three sports is you are always doing something and you are always with your friends. It’s fun to be around your friends. It’s almost like a hangout time with them even though we are doing a sport together.”

Toughest Part of Playing Four Sports: “The wear and tear on your body and brain. In football this year, we had a three-day vacation before jumping right into basketball. I had a lot of bumps and bruises from football that needed some time to heal. And in both football and basketball, there is a lot to think about so it sometimes gets a little confusing.”

Favorite Opponents: “It’s a tossup between Arcadia and Whitehall. With Arcadia, my parents and all of my family are from Arcadia. With Whitehall, it’s our biggest rival. Stuff is always said between the two schools, but it’s fun to compete against those two schools. It’s especially fun when you can beat them.”

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers.

Favorite Professional Team/Individual: New York Jets/Brett Favre.

Cumulative GPA: 3.24.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “I have played against quite a few good out-of-conference players, but I would have to say Ryan Sygulla of Whitehall. Of all the players I’ve competed against in four years, he is the guy I respect the most.”

College Plans: “I plan to major in early childhood education. Schools I am looking at right now include Stout for football and St. Mary’s of Minnesota for basketball. Those are my top two schools I am thinking about right now, but I’m still open for a little while yet.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Big Brothers/Big Sisters with elementary school students; work with Early Childhood Program at the elementary school.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I go snowmobiling in the winter with some of my friends. I’ll also watch sports-related things on television.”

Favorite TV show: Criminal Minds.

Favorite Movie: Grand Torino.

Favorite Subject: History.

Favorite Websites: www.wissports.net.

What’s On Your Ipod: “A lot of country and classic rock.”

Other Family Members: Father, Perry; mother, Renee; younger brothers, Reggie and Nolan.
