Amery Warriors: What a turnaround the Warriors achieved in the month of February. Amery started the season 4-7 overall and just 1-4 in Middle Border play, then used a huge victory over Hayward at the end of January to turn things around. Since its 34-30 loss to Somerset, Amery has won 10 straight and is a victory over Osceola away from clinching a share of the MBC crown. On the back of 2010 All-State nominee Kelly Stewart, Amery dropped Osceola, Prescott, Somerset and defending champ Durand to surge up the conference ranks and claim the top seed in the Division 3 River Falls regional next Friday.

Edgerton Crimson Tide: Regardless of Edgerton's outcome Thursday, the Crimson Tide will hang their first ever girls basketball conference championship banner in the gym this season. Though winning six of seven in February wasn't easy as Edgerton pulled out five point victories over Brodhead and McFarland as well as a two-point squeaker over Whitewater. Behind impressive play from senior Meggie Schmidt, the Crimson Tide will take its conference accolades and top seed into the Division 3 Clinton regional next Friday.

Oconomowoc Coons: Like Edgerton, Oconomowoc has already clinched a share of the Wisconsin Little Ten crown after going a perfect 8-0 in the month of February. The Coons held off Wisconsin Lutheran by three to kick off the month, survived a two-point scare from West Bend East four days later and ended the month with a solid 56-52 non-conference win over Sheboygan North. The high-scoring foursome of Mandy Prom, Kendra Brooks, Abby Thelen and Carly Hall was a big reason why Coonie will take its #2-seed into the Division 1 Verona sub-sectional next Saturday.

Spencer Rockets: The Rockets went a perfect nine-for-nine in the month of February and 7-0 Cloverbelt East record to carve out a second-place tie with Owen-Withee. Spencer also knocked off the Blackhawks 40-33 in the last week of the month to earn a berth in Saturday's second-place Cloverbelt Crossover playoffs. The Rockets, with exactly zero seniors on this year's roster, got senior-like play out of a very strong junior class in February, and those underclassmen Rockets will bring their #2-seed into the Division 5 Marathon regional Friday.

Westby Norsemen: The Norsemen were close to winning the Coulee Conference last season, but this season Westby used a strong February finish to finally get their hands on league laurels. Westby went a perfect 6-0 in February, including 4-0 in Coulee play to secure the league title outright. The Norsemen also earned a big win over Sparta to cap off a very impressive 20-1 overall record with one regular season game remaining. Led by senior Jenna Engh and sophomore Abby Midtlein, the Division 4 Reedsburg regional's top seeded Westby will likely enter the post season as one of the sectional favorites.
