Winter seasons ending, baseball just around corner

The spring baseball season is just over two weeks away and while the state’s high school sports scene is in full playoff mode with the winter sports, we are getting ready for the spring baseball season here at WSN.

The Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association preseason polls are already out and as the WBCA’s own publication, Baseball Wisconsin 2011, states “don’t get upset if your team is not ranked yet.” Take a look at them, and our breakdowns of all 80 teams that have been ranked.

Be sure to check out your team page. If you do not yet see your team’s schedule for the season, have your coach email it to info@wissports.net or send an email to get access to post rosters, scores and stats throughout the season.

We are working on putting together a list of players that have committed to play at the college level. Those going to Division 1 and some Division 2 colleges have started our list, but we need your help to fill that list. Be sure to email us at info@wissports.net if you have a player committal and we will be sure to add it to the list and feature it throughout both the spring and summer seasons.

Beyond that, we have already put together a calendar of dates for the spring season to keep an eye on.
