Favorite Sport: “Growing up as a younger kid, it was always baseball because I was better at that. But now that I’ve grown and gotten stronger and my skills have gotten better, I think basketball is my favorite sport. I just enjoy basketball the most out of the three.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “These are the three things I love doing the most. It’s a huge part of my life. I enjoy sharing it with my friends and teammates. Going to state in basketball … not everybody gets to experience that. Sharing that with your friends is a one-in-a-lifetime thing.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “Two things that fit together … winning the Spooner Sectional last year and being able to play at the Kohl Center in Madison. Being able to experience the atmosphere at the Spooner Sectional was cool and then being able to play on the floor in Madison and meet everybody was awesome.”

Best Advice Received from High School Coach: “All of my coaches told me, as far as goals, no matter what it is, if you care about it and work hard enough at it, you are very capable of achieving them.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “Other than having fun with the sports and playing with my teammates, I think the experiences you have in one sport help with the other two sports. The physical toughness required in football helps in basketball and the mental toughness you need in baseball also helps with the other two sports. They really compliment each other well.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Definitely, the wear and tear on your body. At the end of the full year, it’s nice to have a break and heal up and get ready for next year.”

Favorite Opponents: “For basketball, it’s definitely Turtle Lake and Cameron. They really bring a good atmosphere. Those are the games everybody comes to watch.”

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers.

Favorite Professional Team: Atlanta Braves.

Cumulative GPA: 3.8275.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “I’ve played against a lot of good players, but Matt O’Connell of Clear Lake is a very good athlete. He is very fast and very strong. His physical attributes make him tough to control on the football field.”

College Plans: “As of right now, I am planning to attend Ripon College. As far as a major, I’m kind of undecided right now. I plan on playing both baseball and basketball at Ripon.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Works as a ball handler instructor for youth football, basketball and baseball camps, Leadership Group member, usher at Faith Lutheran Church in Clayton.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I hang out with my friends a lot on the weekends. We play a lot of X Box.”
