Prairie du Chien junior Morgan Banasik headlines the 2011 Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 3 All-State team as the lone unanimous selection.

Banasik was selected as the Southwest Wisconsin Conference Most Valuable Player after averaging 17.5 points per game for first-year head coach Paula Shedivy. The 5-9 guard led the Blackhawks to their second ever state tournament appearance this season.

The rest of the first team included:  Breanna Gaspervich, So., East Troy; Katie Gonnering, Sr., Freedom; Dilonna Johnson, Jr., Dominican; Alyssa Krajco, Sr., Richland Center; Katelyn Kuehl, Sr., Winnebago Lutheran; Jenny Lindner, Fr., Neillsville; Emily Neitzel, Jr., Lomira; Michelle Piepenburg, Sr., Chilton; Meggie Schmidt, Sr., Edgerton; Deysha Smith-Jenkins, Jr., Dominican.

Breanna Gaspervich averaged a team-best 15.9 points per game as the Trojans advanced to the sectional semi-finals this year. An outstanding leader, the 5-5 sophomore guard helped East Troy to a second place finish in the competitive Rock Valley-North Conference.

Katie Gonnering was a rock for Freedom this year, contributing in all facets of the game as the Irish won a third straight Eastern Valley title. The 5-10 senior averaged 17.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as Freedom advanced to the sectional finals. She was a Division 2 WBCA All-State choice last year.

Dilonna Johnson led high-scoring Dominican with 16.2 points per game this season. The Knights take a perfect 26-0 record into the Division 3 state tournament, with the 5-7 junior playing a big role all year.

Alyssa Krajco was an honorable mention All-State pick last year, and has moved up to a First Team selection as a senior. The 5-9 senior forward helped Richland Center to a fourth straight SWC title while averaging 11.7 points per game.

Katelyn Kuehl averaged a double-double with 17.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game as the Vikings finished the season 23-3. The 5-10 senior guard helped Winnebago Lutheran to a second place finish in the always tough Flyway Conference and a berth in the sectional finals.

Jenny Lindner is the only freshman to receive First Team All-State recognition in any division. The 5-10 guard leads the team in scoring at 15.8 points per game as the Warriors have advanced to the Division 3 state tournament.

Emily Neitzel was outstanding in all areas of the game as Lomira took home a Flyway Conference title with a perfect 16-0 league mark. The 5-7 junior averaged 13.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 3.8 steals per game for the Lions.

Michelle Piepenburg has been a big reason why the Tigers have turned the program around over the last two years. The 6-0 senior averaged a team-best 18.3 points per game as Chilton won the tough Olympian Conference title with a 17-1 league record.

Meggie Schmidt helped Edgerton to a 15-1 league record and a Rock Valley-North conference title as a senior. The 5-7 guard poured in 17.3 points per game for the Crimson Tide as they advanced to the sectional finals.

Deysha Smith-Jenkins is a repeat First Team pick on the WBCA Division 3 All-State team. The 5-9 junior guard averaged 15.6 points per game and has helped the Knights to a perfect record heading into the state tournament.
