Favorite Sport: “All three for different reasons. Basketball is more competitive and more intense. Soccer because it is spread out more and more of a thinking game. Tennis is a relaxing game and you get to play with a partner. There is pressure in tennis so it teaches you to deal with pressure.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “The bonding with the other teammates. Road trips and bus rides to games. Being with the guys before and after games is a lot of fun. Celebrating the victories and being together after the losses. It’s been great.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “I’d have to say last year finishing as the runner-up in Division 3 to Racine St. Catherine’s at the WIAA State Tournament in Madison.”

Best Advice Received from High School Coach: “I don’t remember which coach told me, but one of them told me not to dwell on the small things. Instead, focus on the ultimate goal of winning the game instead of getting down about one or two details.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “Being around the guys. A lot of the guys I play with are on all three teams. As I said before, the sports bring different things to me. Basketball is more competitive, soccer is more of a thinking-man’s game and tennis more relaxing. All three sports round out my overall experience well.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Keeping up on school work. Staying ahead in school and the time commitment are challenges. Sometimes it can take up your entire day, but it’s been great. I really love it.”

Favorite Opponents: “For soccer, it’s Wausau Newman Catholic. We’ve had to play them the last two years to get to state. In basketball, Osseo-Fairchild, Altoona and Thorp always bring their best game to us. In tennis, Altoona and Aquinas have given us outstanding competition.”

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers.

Favorite Professional Teams: Sacramento Kings, Tennessee Titans.

Cumulative GPA: 3.75.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “Jimmy Ancious from Aquinas. When we played them in the Bishop’s Cup, it was a great battle. He brought out the best in me when we competed against them. It was a good battle down low.”

College Plans: “I am thinking of studying something in the sciences. I’m not really sure exactly what yet. I am going to focus on basketball.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Member of the National Honor Society, member of Youth Leadership in Eau Claire, member of the Regis concern, marching and pep bands, member of the Jazz band, assisted in planning of retreats in 2007-10, member of the Math team, member of the Key Club, volunteer at Regis basketball camps, St. Francis Food Pantry and Special Olympics, parish volunteer at St. James the Greater Parish.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I like having family time. We sit in our family room and talk about stuff. Lately, I’ve been getting into chess. After school, a bunch of my friends and I have been playing chess.”

Favorite Movie: The Book of Eli.

Favorite Subject: Chemistry.
