Dan Brunner replaces retiring Dick Rundle as WFCA Executive Director

The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Executive Board unanimously selected Dan Brunner (pictured) as the Executive Director of the WFCA, effective July 16, 2011. Brunner is replacing retiring Director, Dick Rundle. Brunner is a Past-President of the WFCA and has been the Banquet Chairman for the WFCA All-State and All-Star game banquets for many years.

He is a WFCA Hall of Fame member who retired from a successful coaching career at Hartford Union High School in 2009. Brunner served as Tight End coach at UW-Whitewater during the past two National Champioship seasons.  

Outgoing Director Dick Rundle, is concluding a career in which he developed the WFCA into the most respected and emulated Football Coaches Association in the Country. Rundle served as WFCA Executive Director from 1990 to 2011. He was the head coach at Monona Grove from 1962-1989, compiling a record of 165-50-3 with 15 conference championships and two state titles.

Rundle was inducted into the National High School Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2003, the Luther College Hall of Fame in 1977, and the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1991.
