Week 3 of the high school football season is already here.

Here's a look at some of this weekend's big games:

Milwaukee/Southeast

Kenosha Bradford (2-0, #2 D1) at Franklin (2-0, #8 D2)
- These teams played one of the state's most entertaining games last year, with the Sabers claiming a 40-35 victory. The teams will square off this week with both schools sitting at 2-0 on the young season and ranked in the Top 10 of their respective divisions, with the winner getting an early leg up in the SEC race.

Catholic Central (0-2, UR) at Lake Country Lutheran (2-0, #14 D6) NC - These two were picked as the pre-season favorites in their respective divisions of the MCC, and while this doesn't count as a conference game for either team, Catholic Central needs to get back on track after an 0-2 start.

Nicolet (2-0, UR) at Homestead (1-1, #12 D1) - Nicolet has just one postseason appearance in school history, and it came way back in 1989. Homestead has qualified 17 times with three state titles. After a 2-0 start in non-conference, can the Knights keep it going against a Highlanders team likely to be amped up following last week's loss to Waterford?

Pewaukee (0-2, UR) at New Berlin Eisenhower (2-0, #4 D3) - Pewaukee has started 0-2 and scored just 7 points; Ike is a surprising 2-0 and allowed just 7 points. These two teams have one of the better rivalries in SE Wisconsin.

Milwaukee Marquette (1-1, #10 D1) at Sussex Hamilton (2-0, #7 D2) - Marquette will look to rebound from last week's loss to Franklin against a Sussex Hamilton team that is off to a surprising 2-0 start after significant off-season graduation losses.

Wilmot (2-0, #14 D2) at Waterford (2-0, #6 D2) - Both teams went unbeaten in non-conference play and slug it out in the first week of conference action to see who can stake an early claim at the top of the Southern Lakes.

Germantown (2-0, #11 D1) at Whitefish Bay (1-1, UR) - The winning team gets off on the right foot in the highly competitive North Shore race, while the loser will have some catching up to do.

Madison/Southwest

Brodhead/Juda (1-1, #15 D4) at Big Foot (2-0, #1 D4) -
Always a great game between two powerful programs, the Rock Valley-South title could be on the line already in this one. Big Foot won the regular season game last year, but Brodhead/Juda won the Level 4 game to go to state.

Evansville (2-0, #15 D3) at McFarland (1-1, UR) - Evansville is looking to get back on top of the conference after a couple down years, while McFarland has claimed at least a share of the last three league titles.

River Valley (2-0, #4 D4) at Nekoosa (2-0, #2 D4) NC - A great non-conference match-up in a week loaded with league games, these two teams could meet in the postseason as well depending on match-ups.

De Soto (2-0, #4 D7) at Potosi (2-0, #1 D7) NC - Two of the area's best small school programs meet in this non-conference affair.

Mount Horeb/Barneveld (2-0, #8 D3) at Waunakee (2-0, #1 D2) - MHB was unbeaten before heading to Waunakee last year as well, but went down 55-6. Can they finally get over the hump and compete for a Badger North crown or will the Waunakee machine roll once again?

Fox Valley Area

D.C. Everest (1-1, UR) at Appleton North (2-0, #5 D1) -
The Valley Football Association era gets underway in Week 3 as DCE travels to Appleton North. A big 42-20 win over Stevens Point last week has the Evergreens riding high.

Ashwaubenon (1-1, #15 D2) at Green Bay Southwest (1-1, UR) - Both teams have designs on competing for a FRCC title, but after starting 0-1 in league play cannot afford another loss. The loser may be eliminated from the title hunt already.

Valders (2-0, #9 D4) at Wrightstown (2-0, #3 D4) - Valders has wins over Mishicot and Sturgeon Bay in the early going, but get a much stiffer test against a Wrightstown team that took down Kewaunee last week.

Kewaunee (1-1, #12 D4) at Roncalli (2-0, #8 D4) - The defending D4 champs were knocked off by Wrightstown last week, and are right back in the fire this week traveling to a strong Roncalli team.

North Central

Thorp (2-0, #9 D6) at Greenwood/Granton (2-0, UR) -
The winner gets a leg up in the crowded Cloverwood race, while the loser will need some help the rest of the way.

Shiocton (2-0, #5 D6) at Manawa (2-0, #15 D5) - Manawa is one of the biggest surprises this year, with impressive non-conference wins over Marion/Tigerton and Oostburg, who each won league titles last season. A win over Shiocton, who defeated the Wolves 35-18 last year, in the CWC-8 opener would keep the momentum going.

Eau Claire/La Crosse/Northwest

Osseo-Fairchild (2-0, #6 D5) at Colby (2-0, #2 D5) - Colby gave currently nickname-less Osseo-Fairchild its only two losses last season and the winner of this one has early control in the Cloverbelt.

Hudson (1-1, #15 D1) at Eau Claire Memorial (2-0, UR) - The Big Rivers looks to be greatly improved this year and both of these teams have looked impressive in the early going.

Chippewa Falls (2-0, UR) at Menomonie (2-0, #5 D2) - With the Big Rivers looking like a much better and deeper conference (BRC teams went 13-3 in non-league action), this opening league game is huge to set the tone for the season.

Bangor (1-1, #11 D6) at New Lisbon (2-0, UR) - The Cardinals went down last week to Seneca in a non-conference affair, while New Lisbon scored a solid victory over Ithaca. Bangor is looking to prove they are still the Scenic Bluffs favorites while New Lisbon is looking for some R-E-S-P-E-C-T after being unranked this week.

Cameron (1-1, UR) at Saint Croix Falls (2-0, UR) - These two were picked at the top of the Lakeland-Large in the pre-season.

Northwestern (1-1, UR) at Spooner (2-0, #10 D4) - Spooner is one of several teams looking to de-throne Northwestern, who is coming off a non-conference loss to Medford, at the top of the Heart O'North.
