It was truly a historic day in Wisconsin high school football on Friday, as the #2 and #3 all-time single game rushing performances took place the same evening. Ozaukee's Devon Linzenmeyer rushed just 18 times (and just three times in the second half) but racked up 447 yards and 6 touchdowns for a 24.8 yard per carry average as the Warriors dominated North Fond du Lac. Kimberly's Alex Schuh did him one yard better, carrying it 36 times for 448 yards and 6 touchdowns as the Papermakers held off D.C. Everest 52-40. Northland Pines' Austin Ramesh (329) and Manitowoc Lutheran's Jacob Luebke (309) also went over the 300-yard mark.

Milton's Evan Phillips got his feet wet last year filling in for all-conference quarterback Nate Hammon a few games as Hammon battled injuries. Phillips has used that experience to get off to a great start to the 2011 season, and on Friday posted his best game of the year. He completed 22 of 34 passes for 358 yards and 4 touchdowns, although it wasn't enough to stop the Red Hawks from falling 34-26 to Fort Atkinson.
