The list of unbeaten teams dwindled down to 70 after a hectic Week 4. Some were the result of undefeated teams squaring off, while others were significant upsets. The top half of most divisions remained mostly stable, while the bottom halves saw a bit more turnover. As we turn the corner to the mid-point of the regular season, teams are definitely beginning to separate themselves. Now it's time to see how everyone did.

Division 1:

Waukesha West, Kenosha Bradford, and Arrowhead remain the top three, but there is a change in the #4 spot. Appleton North previously held that position, but was shocked by previously winless Wausau East 22-21, dropping the Lightning to #12 this week. Muskego, who had been at #8, leap-frogged a couple other teams following an impressive win over previously 7th-ranked Kenosha Tremper, who fell to #10. Manitowoc Lincoln moves up to #5 after yet another impressive victory. Friday night will see #6 Verona travel to #7 Middleton. After a 19-0 shutout loss to Hudson, Wisconsin Rapids has rebounded nicely and moves into the #14 position.

Division 2:

Waunakee remains on top of the Division 2 Coaches Poll, but is not a unanimous #1 as Kimberly is creeping ever closer. Marshfield is #3 again, while Menomonie and Monona Grove flip-flop spots once again at 4 and 5. #6 Sussex Hamilton went down in a Greater Metro contest to Brookfield Central, dropping the Chargers to #15 this week. That's one spot below the Lancers. Watertown is a surprising 4-0 and shoots into the rankings at #11 this week.

Division 3:

The top of Division 3 remained largely unchanged, with West De Pere again a unanimous top choice. You have to go down to #9 Marinette to find the first loss from teams in the Week 3 poll, as the Marines went down to the top-ranked Phantoms 49-7. Onalaska, Catholic Memorial, and Whitefish Bay also lost last week and like Marinette dropped out of the poll. East Troy is off to a 4-0 start and jumps in at #10. They'll face #4 Jefferson in a big Rock Valley North game this week. Other new faces this week include Madison Edgewood, Delavan-Darien, and Notre Dame.

Division 4:

Big Foot continues to dominate the Division 4 poll, and a 57-12 win over a very good McFarland team did nothing to diminish their standing in the coaches eyes. Nekoosa was #2 last week, but the Papermakers lost to Lancaster 50-34 and slide down to #8 this week. Wrightstown, who has impressive wins over Kewaunee and Roncalli this season, moves into the #2 spot. Platteville, Omro, and Spooner round out the top five. Cumberland has been one of the more dominant teams this year behind multidimensional standout Brady Rose, and debut at #6 this week. A crowded group of one-loss teams holds spots 8 through 15 with others lurking just outside the Top 15 of division without a lot of separation between many programs.

Division 5:

Brillion solidified its #1 position with a dominating win over Kewaunee on Friday, but Colby, Lancaster, and Cedar Grove-Belgium have shown they are more than capable of keeping up with the Lions. Necedah has edged its way to the #5 spot thanks to a 4-0 start, and a loss by previous #4 team Stratford, who dip to #11, one spot behind the Osseo-Fairchild nickname-less team that beat them Friday night. Previously unbeaten and 6th-ranked Amherst also went down, and drop completely out of the poll.

Division 6:

Edgar continues to hold the #1 position, although strangely they are not a unanimous selection. It's unclear what the two-time defending champions that has won its four games this year by an average of 55-6 need to do to be considered a unanimous #1. Saint Mary's Springs, who has also dominated in a 4-0 start by outscoring opponents 52-2, is second once again, followed by Regis, Shiocton, and Coleman. Iowa-Grant, ranked 9th last week, was the only team in last week's poll to lose, as the Panthers drop out to be replaced by unbeaten Tri-County.

Division 7:

Potosi is once again the top-ranked team in Division 7. Last week's #2, Greenwood/Granton, went down to previously #6 Athens in a tight ballgame and dip to #13 this week. Athens, who could wind up in Division 6 once again, moves to the #3 spot. Seneca is the new #2. At the bottom of the poll, Cinderella Highland went down in Week 3, along with De Soto. They drop out of the rankings, along with Catholic Central, who won to move to 2-2, but were replaced by teams that have gotten off to perfect 4-0 starts. The Hilltoppers remain just outside the rankings, with Wausaukee and Suring moving in.
