A pair of games featuring unbeaten teams ranked in the Top Five of the Division 1 Coaches Poll dominate the Week 8 schedule, but there are important games across the state. Also, be sure to check out the list of the 111 teams to clinch a playoff spot on our Football Playoff Qualifier Report, which will be updated Saturday (and Sunday) with games from the weekend. Here's a look at some of this weekend's big games:

Milwaukee/Southeast

Waukesha West (7-0, D1 #1) at Arrowhead (6-0, D1 #3) -
It doesn't get much bigger than this. The Warhawks got the win in the regular season last year while West got revenge in the playoffs on its way to a state title.

Kenosha Bradford (7-0, D1 #2) at Muskego (7-0, D1 #5) - The second "Game of the Year" to take place this week, this game will feature some of the area's top athletes. Bradford relies on its speed while Muskego is a power, grind it out team.

Marquette University (5-2, D1 #15) at Brookfield East (6-1, D2 #8) - Two of the four teams tied atop the Greater Metro square off in this one as the league should get some clarity after this week.

Kenosha Tremper (4-3, UR) at Franklin (5-2, D2 #13) - Tremper got back on track last week after back to back losses. The return of Toneo Gulley certainly helped. Franklin can clinch a postseason spot with a win while Tremper needs to win its last two games to get in, making this an elimination game for the Trojans.

Delavan-Darien (5-2, UR) at Waterford (6-1, D2 #10) - The winner retains a slim hope in the Southern Lakes race behind league unbeaten Badger, but also has a leg up to finish second, which is important for playoff seeding.

Racine St. Catherine's (6-1, D4 #13) at Racine Lutheran (5-2, UR) (Saturday) - After starting 4-0, RaLu needs to win its last two games in the new look MCC-South just to get in the postseason.

Madison/Southwest

Mineral Point (4-3, UR) at Cuba City (6-1, D5 #9) -
Cuba City can all but wrap up sole possession of second place in the SWAL (and keep pace in case Darlington slips up at the top), which will be helpful for seeding.

Big Foot (7-0, D4 #1) at East Troy (6-1, D3 #8) - This Rock Valley crossover counts in the league standings for both teams and will provide top-ranked Big Foot a good late season test.

Middleton (6-1, D1 #10) at Janesville Parker (5-2, UR) - Parker ends a brutal three-game stretch that has already included losses to Verona and Sun Prairie. Middleton can all but wrap up sole possession of second place in the Big Eight.

Randolph (5-2, D7 #10) at Johnson Creek (5-2) - Randolph leads the Trailways-Small at 4-0 and Johnson Creek can force a tie atop the league with a win.

Cambridge (6-1, D5 #10) at Marshall (6-1, D4 #11) - Marshall has won at least a share of five straight Capitol-South titles. They are unbeaten in league play this year but Cambridge can tie it up with a win.

Wautoma (6-1, D4 #8) at Nekoosa (6-1, D4 #7) - These two are the class of the South Central this year and shared the title last season, although Nekoosa won the regular season matchup.

River Valley (4-3, UR) at Platteville (7-0, D4 #3) - Valley needs a win either this week at Platteville or next week at Prairie du Chien to get in the playoffs; Platteville needs to win to keep pace with Lancaster atop the SWC.

Fox Valley Area

Hilbert (6-1, D6 #10) at Algoma (6-1, D6 #14) -
Hilbert leads the Olympian-Packerland Small but Algoma can tie it up with a victory.

Notre Dame (4-3, UR) at De Pere (4-3, UR) - Both teams have clinched at least a .500 conference record but need another win to be safe when the playoff field is released.

Green Bay Southwest (5-2, UR) at Green Bay Preble (6-1, D1 #14) - Preble is in but needs to keep winning for possible seeding spots while Southwest could use a victory to feel safe.

Luxemburg-Casco (6-1, D3 #7) at Hortonville (5-2, UR) - Luxemburg-Casco can take another step towards securing sole possession of second place in the Bay while Hortonville could pick up a big late season win.

Kimberly (6-1, D2 #4) at Kaukauna (5-2, UR) - Kimberly needs a win to stay in a tie for the VFA-North lead. Getting it over rival Kaukauna, who is much improved this year, won't be easy.

Plymouth (6-1, D3 #6) at Kewaskum (7-0, D3 #2) - An underrated game on this week's schedule, these two have ruled the EWC lately and this will decide the conference title once again.

Pulaski (6-1, D2 #9) at Manitowoc Lincoln (7-0, D1 #6) (Saturday) - Manitowoc leads the FRCC while Pulaski's surprising season could be come even more special with a win to force a tie atop the league standings.

Omro (7-0, D4 #4) at Saint Mary's Springs (7-0, D6 #2) - While the big games in the Milwaukee area will get much of the attention, this should be just as good. Omro ended Springs' Flyway dominance last year and the Ledgers will look for revenge.

North Central

Menasha (4-3, UR) at Marshfield (6-1, D2 #5) -
Both teams are coming off losses and need to get momentum heading into the playoffs. Menasha also needs a win to clinch a postseason appearance.

Mosinee (7-0, D3 #4) at Medford (5-2, UR) - Mosinee is alone atop the Great Northern and Medford likely is the last team with a shot to knock them off.

Stevens Point (4-3, UR) at Wisconsin Rapids (6-1, D1 #11) - Point has rebounded after a rough start, but must get a win this week against Rapids or next week against Marshfield just to get in the playoffs.

Eau Claire/La Crosse/Northwest

Hillsboro (6-1, D7 #7) at Bangor (6-1, D6 #9) -
Bangor closes with tough games against Hillsboro this week and Necedah next week but control their own destiny atop the Scenic Bluffs.

Menomonie (7-0, D2 #2) at Hudson (4-3, UR) - With a win Menomonie can do its part to set up a Week 9 unbeaten showdown with Eau Claire Memorial for all the marbles in the Big Rivers.

Eau Claire Memorial (7-0, D1 #7) at Rice Lake (5-2, UR) - Like Menomonie, Eau Claire Memorial has to avoid a trap game before a possible big-time Week 9 showdown.

Durand (6-1, D4 #12) at Somerset (6-1, D4 #9) - First place in the Middle Border is on the line as the co-leaders square off.

Arcadia (5-2, UR) at Westby (6-1, D5 #7) - Westby is alone in first place at the top of the Coulee standings while Arcadia can force a tie with a win.
