FOOTBALL

Offense

Levell Coppage, Senior (Oak Park, Ill.), Running Back of UW-Whitewater
Coppage rushed for a season high 245 yards on 29 carries and three touchdowns in the Warhawks’ 31-16 victory over UW-Stevens Point at Perkins Stadium.  He has rushed for 1,101 yards this season, the first back in UW-Whitewater and WIAC history to rush for 1,000 yards all four years of his career.  He also broke former Warhawk Justin Beaver’s record for the school and WIAC career rushing mark, now with 6,776 yards.  Coppage also moved to third on the NCAA Division III career rushing list.  The game marked the sixth time in his career that he has rushed for 200-plus yards, with the most recent being the 2010 Stagg Bowl.

Defense

Nick Snyder, Junior (Mt. Morris, Ill./Oregon), Linebacker of UW-Platteville
Snyder had a game-high 11 tackles with a pass break-up on a defense that shut down the UW-Eau Claire offense in a 31-21 victory for the Pioneers. The Pioneer defense held the Blugolds to eight first downs (four of which came via penalty) and 154 yards in the final three quarters.

Christian Hallingstad, Junior (Cumberland, Wis./Rice Lake), Punter of UW-La Crosse
Hallingstad averaged 40.0 yards on five punts in UW-La Crosse’s 30-24 overtime victory at No. 15-ranked UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 29.  He had three punts inside the 20-yard line, including punts to the one, seven and 13-yard lines.  Hallingstad leads the WIAC in punting this season (42.1 yard average) with 14 inside the 20-yard line.
