Below are the nominees for the Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of December 18th though the 25th.  Voting is below and will be open until Thursday at 4:00pm.

Bryan Botcher, University School, Boys Hockey - University School only played one game last week, but Botcher made sure it was a W.  The sophomore goaltender stopped 39 shots in pitching a shutout against St. Mary's Springs for a 4-0 victory for the Wildcats.  After a little bit of a bumpy start he has rebounded to help University School to four straight victories in which he has stopped 115 of 121 shots against four solid opponents.

Zed Dietrich, Waukesha, Boys Hockey – Dietrich had quite an impressive two game stretch in two victories over Beloit and Germantown.  Against Beloit he had a goal and six assists, having a hand in all 7 goals scored by the Wings.  The next night he recorded a hat trick and tacked on another assist for good measure in a 7-3 victory over the Germantown co-op.    On the season the sophomore has 35 points and 22 goals, numbers that have him towards the top of both leaderboards.

Jordan Fouse, Racine St. Catherine's, Boys Basketball – Fouse messed around and almost got a triple double against crosstown rival Racine Case in St. Cat's 58-44 victory.  His final stat line included 25 points, 10 blocks, 8 rebounds, 6 steals and 5 assists.  It's a big statement win for the Angels against a team that is not only six times bigger in enrollment, but one of the favorites to win the Southeast conference.   Fouse, a Green Bay recruit, is averaging 17 points per game on the season.

Hannah Juckett, Badger Thunder, Girls Hockey – After starting the season 0-7-1 the Badger Thunder have rebounded winning their past four games.  In their two most recent contests last week senior Hannah Juckett had some huge games.  Against Rock County the senior forward recorded the game winning goal in the second period and tacked on a short handed goal in the third period to extend the margin to 7-5.  In her next contest, a 4-1 victory over the Middleton Co-Op she went for a hat trick which included a short handed goal to start the scoring in the first period.   On the season she is in the top 10 in goals scored in the state.
Chloe Wanink, Cameron, Girls Basketball – Diaper dandy alert!  Freshman Chloe Wanink started the season strong but exploaded the past week.  In a December 20th win over Shell Lake she scored 27 points on 11-14 shooting in a 55-24 victory.  She followed it up with 37 points in an 84-62 victory over Chetek-Weyerhaeuser on the 22nd on 12-18 shooting and added 6 boards and 5 assists.   For the year she is averaging 20.3 points per game and has the Comets out to a 5-1 start.
