Getting to 1000 career points at the high school level is one of the special accomplishments only attained by the most outstanding players. You have to be very good and do so over several years. A trio of girls hoops players crossed the 1000-point threshold recently.

Mishicot's Krista Kadow surpassed the 1,000 point plateau Friday night in the team's 64-49 win over Valders 64-49. Kadow finished the game with 25 points and 10 rebounds, scoring her 1000th point on a putback at the first half buzzer. She joins Amy Kieckbusch and Julie Wojta as the only Mishicot girls in the history of the program to surpass 1000 points. With 1028 career points after scoring 18 in Tuesday's loss to Brillion, she is now 101 points away from the all-time school record for girls held by Kieckbusch. The Indians have won four of their last five games after starting the season 1-4.

Kenosha Christian Life went down to The Prairie School on Tuesday, but Eagles senior Brie Tennyson scored 15 points and added 11 rebounds. She also went over the 1000 careerpoint mark in the game. Also an outstanding volleyball player, Tennyson recorded more than 1000 kills and digs as well.

New Berlin Eisenhower is 11-0 and ranked #2 in the latest WisSports.net Division 2 Coaches Poll, with much of the credit to senior lead guard Nicole Bauman. The University of Wisconsin recruit is averaging 17.3 points per game for the Lions, who face second-place South Milwaukee in a key Woodland-Black contest Friday night. Bauman became just the sixth player in New Berlin Eisenhower history to surpass the 1000 point mark, doing so in a 64-40 win over Cudahy back on December 20th. She scored 19 points in the win, including a trio of three-point baskets.
