Favorite Sport: “Volleyball is my favorite. I grew up around the sport. My mom was the coach and I went to all of her practices growing up. It’s just a lot of fun.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “The total environment. In volleyball, everybody was behind us. They followed us to state and cheered us on. Even in the hallways at school, people would congratulate us and tell us they would be attending our games at state. Our fans are really great.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “From my mom, she would always say it doesn’t matter if you lose as long as you are having fun and you are out there with your friends. She also emphasized learning from our mistakes.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “There are so many. I would say definitely going to state in volleyball, but especially this year as a senior. As a junior, I had all my friends and my cousins on the team and we were expected to do well. This year was a whole new group of players and many of them were younger. It was a lot of fun. We were inexperienced, so it was a bit surprising we got as far as we did.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “The friends I’m with in each of the sports. Each team has different people so I get to experience being with new people each season.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Getting used to your coach and what their expectations are and how to talk to them. Some coaches scream at you so you have to approach them differently.”

Favorite Opponent: “For volleyball, it would be Neenah. Neenah always competes with a lot of energy. For basketball, it would be Neenah or Kimberly. I’d probably say Kimberly because it always has a very good program. In track and field, I really don’t know.”

Favorite Professional Teams: Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat.

Cumulative GPA: 3.0.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “Jenni Fassbender of Kaukauna in volleyball. We are going to college together. She is a hitter and she always gave us a run for our money. She is definitely a good player.”

College Plans: “I will play volleyball at North Dakota State on a scholarship. I am undecided at this point about my major.”

Activities Outside of Sports: SWAT (Students Working As Teachers), volunteer time at youth volleyball camps.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I like hanging out with my friends and watching movies. Sometimes, I like to read books and listen to music. I like teenage fiction stuff.”
