Fifteen girls basketball teams remain undefeated prior to Tuesday night's action, with those groups pretty well spread throughout all five divisions.  Let's go inside each division to take a look at how ranked teams fared last week, including those 10 unbeaten squads.

Division 1

Undefeated Nicolet retains the top spot in the Division 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll this week. The Knights solidified that spot with a 40-34 victory over previously unbeaten Whitefish Bay in a key North Shore Conference contest last Friday night. Milwaukee Vincent remains in the #2 position. Pius XI had been ranked 3rd but the Lady Popes went down to Arrowhead Friday night 49-45 at home, dropping them to #6 this week. Arrowhead moves from #14 to #12. Sussex Hamilton moves up to #3 this week, followed by Racine Case and Bay Port. Divine Savior Holy Angels enters the poll this week at #15; the Dashers face a huge Greater Metro contest tonight against #3 Sussex Hamilton.

Division 2

Unbeaten New Berlin Eisenhower continues to nip at the heels of top-ranked and defending champion New London but the Bulldogs hold onto the top spot once again. There was some shuffling in the top five though. Reedsburg had been undefeated and ranked 3rd but went down to Waunakee 59-32 on Saturday and drop to #4 this week. Unbeaten Monona Grove moves into the #3 spot. Whitefish Bay lost a close one to D1 top-ranked Nicolet, causing the Blue Dukes to slide from #4 to #5. Holmen suffered its third straight loss and dropped out of the rankings, allowing La Crosse Logan, who beat them on Saturday, to come back in at #15.

Division 3

It was another close vote in the Division 3 Coaches Poll but Brillion retained the top spot once again. Lomira defeated former #3 Kettle Moraine Lutheran last Tuesday but couldn't quite top the Lions of Brillion in the rankings. KML dropped to #7 this week. Dominican, Adams-Friendship, and East Troy round out the top five. Richland Center has played perhaps the toughest schedule in the division and sport the third-highest RPI of any team in the state. The Hornets are coming off wins at La Crosse Logan and Sparta and move back into the rankings at #15.

Division 4

In arguably the deepest division in the state, Algoma once again holds a slight lead for the #1 ranking over Regis. Neillsville is again third followed by Oshkosh Lourdes. Cuba City had been #5 but the Cubans lost at Fennimore last week, allowing the Golden Eagles to move from #10 to #8 while dropping the Cubans to 9th. Amherst lost to Division 5 power Newman Catholic by just two points last week, allowing the Falcons to stay at #13. Deerfield was the only other ranked team to lose last week, dropping the Demons out of the poll. Cameron is the newcomer this week, debuting at #12 after an impressive win over previously undefeated Saint Croix Falls.

Division 5

After #2 Newman Catholic scored a 49-46 win over #3 Assumption last Thursday (and a 52-50 win over D3 #13 Amherst on Tuesday) it was thought the one-loss Cardinals may pass unbeaten Black Hawk at the top of the rankings. However, the Warriors were able to hang onto the top spot, with Newman once again second. Despite the loss Assumption stayed at #3 as well, followed again by undefeated Seneca and one-loss Heritage Christian in the top five. McDonell Central went down at defending Division 3 champion Altoona last week, dropping the Macks just one spot from #6 to #7. Randolph and Juda are new to this week's poll at #14 and #15 respectively.
