Favorite Sport: “I would have to say football because I’ve always enjoyed football. I get to play with my friends that I’ve played with since the second grade.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “I think how people look at you and respect you. The fact that you are an athlete, you have to deal with school and sports at the same time, and I think people respect that.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “My freshman year, coach Rosemeyer yelled at me and told me to throw passes harder. I was just kind of tossing it around and he jumped on me to throw it harder, which I did.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “Winning a state championship my senior year and how exciting the game was against Lancaster. The atmosphere down at Camp Randall Stadium was awesome. When we were down in overtime and coach called ‘Roger-Cowboy,’ and we were surprised because we only ran it once the entire season. Coach put it in on the biggest stage, and Tyler (Meyer) made the catch for the score, that was the most exciting moment of the game.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “Since I love sports, I never get a break and just go from one sport to the sport. It’s awesome because you are doing something you love.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Managing school and sports at the same time. Some seasons get a little longer than the others. Keeping your mind on one sport and trying to focus on that as well as school at the same time.”

Favorite Opponent: “For football, it was probably Osseo-Fairchild. That is our conference rival and we almost always have a good game against them. For basketball, it would be Columbus Catholic. They are well-coached and beating them feels great. For baseball, it would be Greenwood. We always have great games when we play Greenwood.”

Favorite College Teams: Wisconsin Badgers, Rice Owls for baseball.

Favorite Professional Teams: Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Bucks, Milwaukee Brewers.

Cumulative GPA: Above a 3.22.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “I would say Steve Gilboy of Spencer in basketball. We guard each other and I played AAU basketball with him for one year so we are friends. He can run and jump and shoot, and is a lot of fun to play against.”

College Plans: “Next year, I will be attending UW-Stout to study construction management while also playing football.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Future Farmers of America, Happy Hoops volunteer for grades kindergarten to fourth grade in Colby.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I like to hunt and fish, stuff like that. I like to be outdoors.”
