WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards -- Defense Finalists:

Larry Fitzgerald, Pius XI - A four-year varsity player for the Popes, Fitzgerald is a very versatile defender. At 6-4 but with very good athletic ability, he can guard on the perimeter and in the lane.

Reggie Kujak, Blair-Taylor - An active inside player who can score, rebound and block shots. A member of Blair-Taylor teams that advanced to the WIAA State Tournament in 2009, 2010 and 2011. In last year's overtime loss to Grantsburg in the state semi-finals Kujak recorded 13 rebounds, 7 blocks, and 3 steals.

Zak Showalter, Germantown - High-energy, aggressive wing guard who defends with a purpose and hits the glass on both ends of the court. He is especially adept at getting into passing lanes for deflections and steals, which he often converts into easy baskets.

Dan Studer, Germantown - Studer is a physical defender who is willing to relentlessly crash the boards on both ends of the court from opening tip until final buzzer. He uses his length to effect shots by his man and as a help defender.

Derek Williams, Milwaukee Washington - A cat-quick point guard who defends from one endline to the other while also pushing the ball and finding open teammates on offense. Williams has helped the Purgolders to a spot in tonight's sectional semi-finals against Tosa East.
