Senior Jordan Fouse of Racine St. Catherine’s is the lone unanimous selection on the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 3 All-State team.

Fouse, a versatile 6-foot-6 forward who signed with Green Bay, is able to affect a game with his scoring, passing, rebounding and shot blocking abilities. A three-year starter for coach Bob Letsch at St. Catherine’s, Fouse led the Angels to a share of the Southern Division title in the Midwest Classic Conference with Racine Lutheran by averaging 17.3 points per game.

The rest of the first team includes Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau senior Riley Bambenek, Little Chute junior Turner Botz, East Troy senior Tanner Plomb, Omro senior Brandon Tyler, Marshall sophomore Cameron Ward, East Troy junior Nathan Dodge, Wisconsin Dells junior Shane Wimann, Baldwin-Woodville senior Ryan Benoy and Milwaukee St. Thomas More senior Trevor Wattawa.

Like Fouse, Bambanek (6-4) is a repeat first-team selection by the WBCA. A versatile point guard who averaged 20.6 ppg while helping his team win a second straight Coulee Conference championship, Bamanbek also chipped in 7.4 rpg and 4.0 apg. He is headed to Winona State on a NCAA Division II scholarship.

Botz (6-6) helped Little Chute to the title in the Eastern Valley Conference and a 24-2 record by averaging 19.2 ppg and 6.0 rpg. An athletic, versatile forward who is equally comfortable playing in the paint or stepping outside to take mid-range jump shots, Botz has Division I scholarship offers from four schools, including Green Bay.

Plomb (6-8), who will attend Army and play basketball in the fall, averaged 19.4 ppg and led East Troy to the title in the Northern Division of the Rock Valley Conference. A long and highly skilled wing player who can knock down shots from mid-range or from beyond the three-point arc, Plomb is a three-year varsity letter winner for the Trojans.

Tyler (6-4), who will attend the University of Mary on a Division II scholarship in the fall, led Omro to the crown in the Wisconsin Flyway Conference by averaging 17.2 ppg, 6.3 rpg and 2.2 apg. He is a skilled and athletic wing player who can knock down perimeter jump shots, defend and rebound.

Ward (6-2) is a prolific scoring combination guard who led all sophomores in the state in scoring with 597 points heading into the WIAA State Tournament. His ability to knock down long-distance shots is a big asset for a Marshall squad that won the Southern Division title in the Capitol Conference.

Dodge (6-3) teamed with Plomb to help East Troy earn the state’s top-ranked among Division 3 schools for much of the season. A solid athlete with good strength and outstanding skill, Dodge averaged 19.0 ppg for coach Darryl Rayfield.

Wimann (6-4) is a physically strong and mobile forward who can score in the post or step outside and connect on medium-range jump shots. He averaged a team-high 17.2 ppg while leading Wisconsin Dells to an unbeaten record in the South Central Conference.

Benoy (6-0) is one of the top point-guard prospects in the state in the class of 2012 and will play at Division II Minnesota State-Moorhead. Though he season was cut short by a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury, Benoy averaged 22.6 ppg through the first 15 games of the season while playing for his father, Scott Benoy, at Baldwin-Woodville.

Wattawa (6-6) helped St. Thomas More finish a game behind Pewaukee in the Blue Division standings of the Woodland Conference by averaging 19.0 ppg. His ability to score inside and outside were huge factors in the Cavaliers’ success.
